Grand Hotel Guayaquil - 瓜亚基尔

The location was perfect and only a few blocks walk to the Malecon.

The location is excellent, the hotel didn't appear old or worn to me and the rooms are very comfortable.

Good location, an excellent hotel and the staff were more than helpful.

But taxi to airport only $4 so no great loss.

No free shuttle from the airport existed for us - we had scheduled the shuttle but when we got to the airport they had two other names on their list and wouldn't take us into the city, so we hired a cab.

We had Room 450, which was really a suite with bathroom, bedroom and sitting room with a breakfast bar.

Pool area were very pleasant, hotel was fine: good sized rooms and clean, our bathroom had a bathtub as well as a shower.

Rooms are a good size with one of the best showers I've experienced from a hotel - but if have room facing the road be prepared for noisy traffic (hooting & tooting all night).

The restaurant is excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, and prices reasonable.

The breakfast bar only had basics, microwave oven, hot jug and 2 cups.

There is a pretty good breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant--eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon, fruit, pastries, juices, etc.

The restaurant served wonderful food and the prices were reasonable.

Adequate hot water, free breakfast and dinner was equally good food.

The personal service from the staff, from maids, waiters to reception was at all times friendly, caring and helpful.

Most front desk staff including manager has bad attitude.

The reception desk attendants were very helpful and informative and the doormen always made sure that the taxis we wanted were "safe".

There is alse a cozy bar, a rudimentary rooftop gym with a few machines, and a very nice swimming pool.

Nice waterfall next to a small swimming pool.

Otherwise told shuttle "not available" or "depends on who else wants it".

The free WIFI internet is for only an hour.

1 day at the Grand in November, hotel was fine: good sized rooms and clean but full of locals particularly in the restaurant where it was difficult to find a seat.
