The location in very central, perfectly situated between the two best shopping streets and its very well located within walking distance of most things.

Grand Hotel et Des Palmes is in a perfect location to see all the sights that Palermo has to offer.

The Hotel is actually a famous location historically where everyone who has been anyone met to discuss politics, commercial deals or just gossip.

The airport-bus stop at Piazza Politeama is very handy, the location of this hotel is great for sightseeing in Palermo and renovated rooms are comfortable.

Entrance area fabulous and quick and cheap to get by bus up to Monreale for the wonderful Cathedral & cloister there- not need for an expensive taxi.

Bed comfortable, few bathroom amenities for a hotel of this price category; bathroom is smallish and there was no tub for you bathers out there.

Service was good and we slept like babies in the comfortable bed.

We stayed in a newly remodeled room, and it had every European luxury we could have asked for: Large modern bathroom, nice amenities, very comfortable.

The bathroom was particularly bad with broken tiles etc and we could smell smoke seeping in from the room next to us.

Someone had a room next to a plumbing system and said it sounded like someone having a bath all night in the next room.

Buffet breakfast was nice although there was no cooked dish and the quality of some products was average.

The public areas of this hotel have a sort of faded grandeur about them - the bar with the pianist was nice, breakfast was pretty good - but the rooms are a different story.

An upscale shop called Spinnato's seemed to have three parts: chocolates, pastries, and gelati, plus drinks and other restaurant foods.

Good restaurant, in the old tradition of European grandeur.

Nice old-style cocktail bar and excellent service.

One of the staff on the Reception even took the time to draw out the route of the Santa Rosalina procession which took place that evening.

The interiors were spacious and reception staff were very friendly.

There was normally only one person on reception and one on the concierge desk.

These people tried to do their best and the concierge would go across to help when there was a rush on at reception.

Also this place is fine, the building is stylish and the lobby is beautiful.

Internet is fast and difficult to find parking anywhere so use of valet parking essential.

From the moment you walk into the marbled, gilted lobby you will know the place is infused with history.

Everything was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom was amazing with a walk-in shower with the biggest shower head you've ever seen!
