The only real acceptable hotel in the centre of Trieste but the rooms are overpriced and the service is nothing special.
The most perfect piazza centrally located, charming hotel in the center of beautiful city - great location and competent staff.
The location is excellent, this is the best situation of any hotel in the city and very efficient service for garaging hire cars.
The location is wonderful -- right on a beautiful piazza, in the middle of a nice shopping district, and very close to the waterfront.
Its location on the Piazza dell'Unita, with a wide choice of restaurants nearby, puts you in the middle of Trieste at its finest.
Excellent position and the central location in the finest square in Trieste made our stay just great.
Some rooms are a little small; our suite was delightful.
Very helpful staff, late checkout at no extra cost and the bed was very comfortable Good breakfast.
While some of the rooms are facing the Piazza - giving them a fabolous view - you might consider preferring a room facing the back street, as there is usually a lot of noise from the cafes at the piazza.
Bathroom average with a tub and hand-held shower only.
Staff are friendly and the large rooms are decorated in soft.
The restaurant--also with tables on the square--is one of the better in town (Trieste has good food, especially seafood), though certainly some others have more character.
Service was poor especially in the restaurant (don't eat there).
We had an excellent dinner at the adjoining restaurant Harry's grill and the spa was wonderful after long day of touring.
The most notable reason to stay at the Duchi is the breakfast.
Where have you last had a buffet breakfast, with eggs cooked to order?
The attentive staff, hot tub and waitress service in Harry's Grill breakfast bar was excellent.
Elegant surroundings, stylish hotel and reception staff had very good language skills.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
In addition the friendly staff and the probably most enjoyable aspect was the kindness of the employees.
Very fine Spa-area and an established hotel.
So there is no sea-view, swimming pool or beach.
The only bad thing about the hotel is the parking situation.
The rooms are clean and help us find o good restaurant.
The room was clean, the breakfast provided was excellent and check-in was efficient and friendly.
The room was clean and well furnished, showing a few signs of wear & tear, but nothing serious.
