That said, the hotel was very good value for money and the 10 minute walk into Pisa is not a problem despite the dark and dingy subway.

If you're driving, this is a good location as it does not require complex navigation through narrow city streets but is easily accessible from the highway.

Room was really nice with plasma tv on wall(bbc world only english channel),air conditioning,electric blind,king size bed,good size bathroom are just a few of many good points.
Our room has a huge double bed, minibar, blinds, double glazing, Flat screen TV and its own Satelite receiver, although the only English language channels of any use available on Hotbird are BBC World and Euronews.
This is possibly because I had a double room to myself for the duration of the holiday, and it was a kingsize bed, highly recommended.

The food in the restaurant was very good but apart from breakfast every day, we only ate the once in the evening.
We found nothing - no bar or restaurant - in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (residential area) although there is a restaurant in the hotel which seemed busy & breakfast next morning there was quite nice.
It seemed a bit out of the way from the restaurants, shops etc but it was nice to be able to walk off the generous breakfast that they serve!
We didn't think the food in the hotel restaurant was up to much, although the breakfasts were okay.
Restaurant was used for breakfast only (included in rate) and was more than adequate - buffet style inc.
