Garden terrace were a great feature as was the location and staff were helpful.

We stopped on the scenic route down to Bordeaux and were extremely impressed with the entrance and location.

They offered free tickets on the water taxi to more historic St.

Fantastic location overlooking the sailing club, general atmosphere is very friendly and the bed is just heavenly.

If you travel to Grand Hotel Barrière, treat yourself to a sea view room (the corner rooms are the best).

The rooms were very comfortable, and the kids beds were ready, even though our reservation was only made two hours prior.

We stayed with our new three month old daughter but to makes life comfortable we took a suite so that she slept in a seperate room.

The original room smelled strongly of smoke, had little windows and no terrace.

The food in the Restaurant was very good indeed, and a reasonable price for what you get : the breakfasts were perfect in every way.

The bar and the hotel's own restaurant were also nice but a bit expensive.

The bar food was original, fresh and very appetising - and all at prices which, although far from cheap, represented exceptional value for such quality and presentation.

Finally, at check out they automatically charged all of us for breakfast (at 17 euros each) even though we didn't eat at the hotel.

We were particularly pleased with the hotel's service levels: staff were uniformly helpful and very pleasant.

The services in the spa area were good, the staff were extremely courteous and the room was very comfortable.

Our hire car on arrival was parked for us nearby by a member of staff and we were left to register at the hotel with quick efficiency and shown by a reception member of staff to our room.

It is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for - al least in this hotel; The service from the Restaurant staff was attentive and friendy without being obtrusive.

The leisure centre (pool, gym, sauna, steam etc) were excellent, in tip-top condition, and a pleasure to use.

Indoor pool was a happy addition, gym was basic.

The hotel and spa is perfect for a romantic treat away.

Housekeeping was exemplary at all times, and all rooms spotless and well-maintained.

The room was clean and despite it was said to have garden view, we had a nice view to the sea.
