Was perfectly acceptable, comfortable and clean

One little annoyance, we asked about car parking in the building next door and was told it would be $18.00 (or thereabouts), but when we paid for our park it was $23.00 (or thereabouts), when we said we were staying at your hotel, they said we needed to have a hotel pass (or similar) to get the discount. You hotel reception should have advised us of this.

    Location and good service.

The internet charges are excessive and in this day and age should be provided as part of the hotel package and not another revenue stream for the hotel.

Great location. The concierge were very helpful and the beds the most comfortable I have slept in a hotel. Great buffet breakfast.

    The staff, and atmosphere.

The food sadly was tastless, and the service was poor.

It totally met our requirements even though it was only a short stay until we had to leave for the airport-the staff were very professional and helpful. After having travelled all day, we had a late dinner in our room and the food was delicious.

Change of sheets when requested by friendly staff who did not hesitate. Room for 3 children.

Genital hair on sheets when we arrived. Hotel a little bit dated now, but only to be expected for the price.

I actually only used it to sleep in because I was too busy with work during the day.

It was quite noisy to my liking. I can attribute that to the IPC event and the participants. However, it was still a bit over my level of tolerance considering it is an expensive hotel.

Location and helpful front desk staff

It was very overpriced for what is essentially a boring modern building, one night was $100 more than the other, we were told this was because of availability. We came back into our room for a nap about 2pm and the room was not done so asked them not to bother. Most hotels in Europe have free WiFi, this was very expensive and unavailable in your room at the Hotel Grand Chancellor

This hotel looked remarkably good despite the fact that it had obviously sustained some damage in the recent earthquakes. Comfortable and spacious room.

Breakfast was below standard for a hotel of this quality. Cooked food swimming in oil and the tea served from a flask was cold & stewed. I asked for fresh tea and they did bring an individual pot. Shame they dont do this as standard. The concierge watched me struggle through the swing door with several large bags and had to be asked to help!!
