Good position for the event we attended.

Jack hammer outside room from 8am. Would have been nice to have been told about this - we would have booked elsewhere.

Good location, nice room and friendly staff.. Good facilities

There was a problem with the boiler as the hot water suddenly went severely rusty - as we found out later, Should have been avoided. TV is old tube /CRT type which was wrong aspect ratio. All other motels offered small bottle of milk which is useful if you have cereals etc for breakfast.

The room was very clean and the cleaning staff were warm and friendly. Even the pool-cleaning guy was a kind and gentle fellow.

I found the woman at checkout to be a disgrace. When I asked for the return of my compulsory $250 bond, she asked me "did you have anything from the mini-bar?". I said "No, I did not". Then, as if to call me a liar, she said "I will have to check". Why ask me this question if you are not going to trust the answer! It would be better to say "Please wait sir while I do a quick exit-check of your room" in which case I would have said "Fine". She said I would have to wait a few minutes before she checked the room, but I said we needed to leave so I asked if she could check straight away. Fortunately the on-duty manager was available and checked the room finding that I was correct and the room was in perfect order. To add insult to insult, despite the fact that I had been kept waiting all this time, she then proceeded to serve another customer ahead of me. At this point the manager had to intervene (he looked quite infuriated with her) and he said she needed to serve me first. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is the first time I've had to pay a cash bond (not credit card pre-deduction, that's different) and the first time I've been made to feel like a liar or a criminal. It was a sour taste left in the mouth and that kind of customer service is an abomination.

I think the bath could do with resurfacing. Didn't have a great appearance, with large black areas. The staff didn't inform me about the carparking entrance from the interior of the hotel and had to ask everytime I wished to get luggage, etc to & from

The hotel is well sited for access to the ferry terminals and the Maritime Museum and great restaurants. It was just a short walk to central Auckland. I chose the hotel for it's pool / spa facilities and found the sauna to be wonderful ! The kitchen and restaurant facilities offered good food and service. My room had self catering facilities however I didn't need to use them, but was impressed.

The location was excellent as we wanted to be able to walk around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially as we were unsure of travel times etc due to the increased activity due to the world cup commencing the day we were leaving. The room was great and especially the ability to open a door/window and get fresh air rather than have a stuffy air-conditioned room. Otherwise a geat stay and a good memory of a last day in New Zealand.

The height of the shower was not adjustable (too low).

Good location. Staff provided late check-in & check-out without any fuss. Nice harbour views

The room was obviously a privately owned apartment that they rented out to hotel guests when the owners didn't need it, as the furniture and decor looked more like something you'd find in someone's house than a hotel. Everything was quite dated and tired; tv was old and had bad reception. The cupboard in the lounge couldn't be used as it was locked. Wouldn't have minded any of that if the price had been more reasonable, but $249/night was a joke for such an un-hotel-like experience.

I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very close to Queen Street and the Viaduct. We very much enjoyed our stay.
