I thought the staff were very helpful and gave some good suggestions regarding places around Lima to go. My room was also very spacious and tidy.

Wonderful old building right in the middle of down town Lima. The public spaces are spectacular, the rooms old (1940´s) but clean and huge. The whole the whole thing is fantastic if your comfortable with the sense of slowly decaying grandure. Think of the Great Gatsby. Much more fun than staying in a generic hotel in Miliflores.

Staff very friendly, room very good value for money. Breakfast was excellent.

No Hotel Concierge. There seemed to be a small office for guest information service however, there was no one there and door was always closed.

Great location, hotel with old fashion style

Very humid and fish odors in the elevator

This hotel is beautiful- it has seen better days but is really full of character. Spacious rooms and a grand feel about the place generally- loved the model t ford and the strange pianist in the foyer!

Not the hotel for you if you like a more modern place to stay. During our stay there was a function on and it was very noisy in our room upstairs. However, the staff were very accommodating and arranged another room for us.

It's old and has the bones of a great old-world style hotel.

The room was almost overwhelmingly musty-smelling, and I have a high threshold for less-than-perfect. And while I don't expect to be provided with a great rate for converting dollars into local currency at a hotel, the hotel's conversion rate was considerably worse than even the banks at the Lima airport (where of rates are pretty poor). The clerk was understanding but working under management's rules, and I found it an unfortunate example of chiseling. I love old hotels like this but not sure I would stay again.

The location is fantastic.. The athmosfere colonial and the stuf very nice

Just un advise. The three bed rooms had more beds. If I was travelling with my family one of this rooms would be enough, but it did not say.. So call it familyroom instead

I liked the location. It was in the middle of the center of downtown

It was outdated and old. It was creepy and almost felt like a haunted hotel. No hot water. Very very bad noise from the street (cars). Very bright in rooms from city lights

        The location was great

The matresses in the room along with the pillows must have been bought in the 1950´S...very poor.

This hotel was not worth the money, the rooms had old smelly furniture. The beds were not comfortable to sleep on and the location was in the slums or barrio. They market themselves as an upscale hotel and this is just not true, they should not charge more than 40 us dollars to any guests and the guest services were awful. Considering their were not actually any at all they were worse.

The rooms are beautiful, large with high ceilings and decorated with colonial furniture.

The breakfast included in the room price is poor (E.G. staff refused to give more bread).

The hotel was very close to the historical center. It is an architecturally impressive building.

The hotel is not in its best times, but it is still charming.

It was like staying in a museum. A lot of antique furnishings (beds and dressing tables) that were very cool. Old wood flooring with lavish inlay work. Not a formula hotel. It did have a free PC available in the Lobby with access to internet, used that!

Took a while to figure out how to lock the door. Not always sure I was locked in and safe. Outside traffic noise. The curtains did not operate and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a decade. Regfulating the shower Temperature ws a trick as well.

Fine location in a grand ole' building. Alot of charm and fond memories of old world architect. They don't build them like this anymore.

Location is very good - right on the 2nd main sguare of Lima (San Martin square), 5 minutes walking from the main square. Personnel is good, friendly and always ready to assist (excursions, taxi, restaurants and so on)

Hotel looks to be luxurious in the past - and now furniture, bathroom and other is not new and modern. I think, some modern hotels in Miraflores are more comfortable - for the same price.
