Great location, within walking distance of Catalunya Sq and Rambles, close to metro and bus stops.

Hotel staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help you - they even ordered us a taxi to get to the airport!

Expect to pay between 30 and 35 Euros for the taxi from the airport.

The hotel was opened in 2004 and the rooms are decorated in earth-tones, have an in-room combination safe, a mini-bar, flat panel television, air conditioning, marble tile bathroom and parquet wood flooring.

The room and bathroom were large and tmodern and the bed was very confortable.

Breakfast wasn't included and I think it is quite expensive if you pay for it there seperately but we found a nice place at the top of La Ramblas which served english and spanish breakfasts.

There was no restaurant or bar, but the amenities they had were good, clean and fit for purpose, The reception staff were all very polite and helpful.

Only downside - don't eat breakfast too late if you want bacon & egg otherwise food fine.

We didnt eat in the hotel as there were so many cafes and restaurants around and we spent most of our time checking out the fantastic sights barcelona has to offer.

The reception staff offered a range of excuses but seemed to accept the problem as 'normal'.

The Gran Ronda is a newly remodeled extremely clean hotel with a helpful staff.

The glass lift where you can see the atrium is brilliant as well as the centre of the reception where you can see the glass painted roof 6 stories up.

Hotel was modern, the little lobby had two free computers and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Sheets are cleaned daily, can't imagine we could have found a meal as cheap in local cafes for the amount we ate and facilities like a gym or pool might be better.

All in all I'd recommend this hotel for a 1-3 night stay but if you were staying for longer, a four-star with a bit space and facilities like a gym or pool might be better, or perhaps even an apartment.

Internet access is available in the lobby and is free to hotel guests.

On arrival the room was very clean and we got fresh linen and toels every day.

The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms were very chic and modern, if a little on the small side.
