Gr Solaris Cancun - 坎昆

Our rooms were located on the 4th floor facing the lagoon side and although we would have liked an oceanfront room, the location of our rooms were more than adequate.

Nice location: Not too close to the "downtown area" of the hotel zone (COCO BONGO, Hard Rock Cafe, etc.

The hotel is beautiful and it's in a great location.

Avoid Taxi Peddlers at airport, and head to smaller taxis around the corner.

As we arrived into the airport we were bombarded by many people trying to get us to buy a taxi ride or take a shuttle.

NOTE: the rooms with 2 dbl beds have a 3rd twin bed that pulls down from the wall in the sitting area, nice little benefit for families.

The reviews about the hard beds were true for the lagoon view room but this new room had a bed comparable to those fancy upgraded beds in better hotels.

Room - we had a Standard Lagoon view 2 double beds, it also a twin size Murphy bed that pulled down out of the wall which was very nice.

We received the types of rooms requested (oceanview, one with king bed and two with double beds).

One room had a king bed and the adjoining room had two double beds and a wall bed so that all three boys had there own bed.

The food was very good … breakfast was anything you could of thought of at the Café Solaris … we ate lunch at either Rosmarinus or at the outside snack bar ….

There are 3 restaurants, a deli, a snack bar, 24-hour room service, 3 bars, 3 pools, a hot tub, a gym, a spa, a gift shop, and great nightly shows.

Food options are plentiful, and we enjoyed the Marco Polo restaurant above all the other restaurants and did not have a bad meal there.

Be warned, there were few kids, which probably meant the kids club was less than exciting, and absolutely nothing for the kids to eat at night (during the day the pool snack bar served hot dogs and hamburgers) in the main restaurants.

Everynight we went to the restaurant, the waiters would recognize us and be so nice with us, the food at the restaurants a la carte was amazing.

The service was excellent, from the maid service to the bar staff, waiters were very friendly and accommadating to your request.

Staff were pleasant, waiters were excellent, maid service good.

It was a beautiful hotel, the front desk staff was also very helpful in getting us a king size bed in which we reserved, but did not receive at first.

Air conditioning in rooms worked like a charm, speedy elevators and the fitness centre and spa downstairs were very good.

There are 3-4 resturants, a deli, a snack bar, a gym, a spa, 2-3 pools and a jacuzzi.

Elaine at the AquaWorld booth, all of the pool bartenders, and Flor in the lobby bar were all outstanding.

While going primarily on vacation, it is at times necessary to do some work, and having wireless so the laptop files are available would boost this hotel a bit more.

She kept the room very clean, visiting it several times a day to make sure the linens were fresh.

Rooms are so clean and fresh, for every round of drinks the wait staff brings you.

The rooms were wonderful, clean, fresh smelling, and had a beautiful balcony view of the ocean and beach.

The hotel is sparkling clean, the rooms are too, and the restaurants and pool area and beach are all pristine.

The rooms are small and clean - pretty standard from my previous experience in Cancun.
