The hotel is conveniently located close to the Geelong city center, which made it easy for us to explore the area and visit local attractions. We were also pleased to find that the hotel was near the event we were attending, saving us travel time. Additionally, the BBQ area was a nice touch, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal outdoors. The staff were friendly and provided basic amenities in our room, including a little couch on the ground level. We were pleasantly surprised to have a heater potentially on to keep us warm during our stay, and the two beds provided ample space for comfort. Lastly, breakfast was a delightful inclusion, ensuring we started our day off right.

Office wasn't open till 2pm-we arrived at 11am and had to fill in time. Didn't advise us upon booking.

I did notice that the TV channel selection was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing.

Owners very obliging. We arrived at 10.30pm on a very, very cold night. The key had been left in the room for us - the airconditioner had been turned on, so the room was nice and warm..

The room had basic but good facilities including plates, silverware, cups, glasses, coffee. There was also a microwave, kettle, and toaster available. The room matched the provided pictures perfectly, so there were no disappointments. The staff were helpful in suggesting interesting photography spots, as my partner and I are avid photographers. A nearby hotel offered exceptional meals, and their calamari entree was generous enough to make a main course.

golden palms motel in geelong was a pleasant surprise during our recent stay. exceeded previous experience in geelong. staff were helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and water pressure in the shower was amazing. definitely our go-to place when visiting the area again.

The hotel was in a central location which made it easy to access various attractions nearby. The car parking space provided was spacious which made the parking easy. One key aspect that I enjoyed was the helpfulness of the hotel staff who offered us some lovely photography destination recommendations.

While the room provided basic amenities like a toaster, there were no plates or cutlery provided. the rule about not reversing the car to the door was not explained.

We would definitely choose to stay at the Golden Palms again when visiting the area.

The only minor issues we encountered during our stay were a very soft pillow and some spider webs in the ceiling corners. However, these were easily overlooked compared to the overall positive experience.
