What an exceptional place! The moment I arrived at this historic property, I was mesmerized by its stunning location on the banks of Loch Oich. The views from the dining and reception rooms were breathtaking, overlooking the serene loch and majestic mountains. The ambiance of the hotel was further enhanced by the charming library, where I spent some quiet moments. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, ensuring a warm welcome without being intrusive. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with a lovely bathroom featuring both a bath and a separate shower. The addition of a Roberts Radio was a delightful touch. I cannot praise the restaurant enough, as both dinner and breakfast were of the highest standard, deserving their rosette from the AA. The hotel's peaceful location, proximity to Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal, and easy access to Inverness make it an ideal base for exploring the area, particularly for those undertaking the NC500. The hotel grounds also offer the opportunity for pleasant walks, adorned with hand-painted stones. my stay at this delightful hotel was nothing short of exceptional.
Nothing really. Just be prepared to climb a few stairs to reach your room. While not a major drawback, it's worth mentioning for those with mobility issues.

Everything was perfect. We only had one night sadly as it would be a perfect place to base yourself from and either go sightseeing each day or just laze around in the lovely rooms or beautiful grounds.

My wife and I recently stayed at a fabulous hotel for our honeymoon. The room we had was absolutely wonderful, with a stunning view of the Loch. Despite being close to Invergarry, the hotel felt quite isolated and provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food at the hotel's restaurant was lovely, and the lounges provided a cozy and relaxing environment. The hotel also had beautiful grounds, perfect for taking short walks. Though there was no lift and the rooms were not air-conditioned, these factors did not detract from our overall experience. We had a truly amazing time and are already planning to return. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a romantic and tranquil stay in the beautiful Highlands.

As youngsters, we were enchanted by the beautiful grounds and castle-like building of Glengarry. The staff, especially the lady at reception, were friendly and professional. Our room was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also had useful amenities like USB chargers. The dining experience was enjoyable, with delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast. The location by the loch provided stunning views and the nearby castle ruins added to the atmosphere. Glengarry offered great value for money and we would definitely return.
We felt special during our stay at Glengarry and had no reason to complain.

Extremely warm staff who couldn't do enough to help. Makes you realise that Country House Hotels are not dead in Britain and do exist at less than £200 per night.
Beds were not as comfortable as hoped.

I recently had a wonderful Christmas getaway in a beautiful hotel nestled in the stunning Scottish Highlands. The hotel had amazing grounds, surrounded by forests and located near a breath-taking loch. The location provided the perfect peaceful and quiet atmosphere that I was looking for during the holidays. the hotel offered a delicious and satisfying breakfast. The staff was attentive and accommodating, providing refills of coffee and bringing extra servings of butter, toast, and jam.
the lack of sound insulation and creaking floors made it difficult to fully enjoy the quiet surroundings. although the hotel had a charming old-world vibe, the room could have been cleaner.

This is not a castle, but it looks like a small castle and has 25 rooms. I'd say it's a very good substitute for a castle. It has beautiful, wild surroundings and if my leg wasn't broken, I would have taken a lot of walks. The food was a bit pricey, but really good and a lot of it. Love the 5 courses for a nice fireside evening! The room was roomy and lovely. If you pay more, you get a better view. this is a great place to relax in and just enjoy the decor and surroundings!
I had a broken leg then and had to go up 25 stairs and then go back to the back. As lovely as it was and as attentive as the staff was, it's still a long way to go on crutches. It would have been nice to have had a room closer to the ground floor. I did call them as soon as I knew, but I don't believe they moved me any closer. No lift! Most people don't have broken legs, however, so this may not be a concert!

We loved the location of the hotel (lake & mountains). The room was large and comfortable as well. The meals were very good.
Just one thing...the porridge I had for breakfast was horrible (very salty)!
