Pluses: Great location close to Foggy Bottom Metro stop and Kennedy Center.

The location of the GW cannot be beat, less than a block from the Foggy Bottom metro station and close to lots of stuff in DC.

The location was perfect for those who plan on spending more time exploring than being couped up in a room.

The hotel is on a very quiet, tree-lined street (New Hampshire), two blocks away from the GWU campus and the Foggy Bottom Metro station (on the Blue line, which leads directly to the DC airport).

A bus from the Foggy Bottom Metro station provides service to the great restaurants of Georgetown.

The room was a small suite with king-sized bed and a fold-out sofa and a kitchenette.

King sized bed (very comfy) in a separate bedroom with its own TV; Sofa-bed (which wasn’t so comfy but wasn’t too bad) in the main living area, etc.

I didn't experience the "thin walls" a previous reviewer mentioned - but I was so exhausted after walking all over campus that by the time I returned to my room I crashed on a very comfortable bed and was out like a light!

We had a king suite with an eat-in kitchen, a large sitting area, and a good-size bathroom and bedroom.

The room was plenty big, with two double beds, a desk, a separate room for the microwave & fridge, and a tiny bathroom.

There are no public areas to speak of, although a new restaurant just opened and there is a very small bar.

The restaurant on the ground floor serves some of the best Italian food we've ever eaten and there is also a TGI Friday's a few blocks away and a little place called Lindy's that serves the best hamburgers ever.

For breakfast, the only menu item the restaurant had was the oatmeal and it was only 8 in the morning.

There's no restaurant in the hotel, but a restaurant that shares the building is supposedly available for room service and breakfast.

The restaurants within easy walking distance have cheap, college-type fare, but the food was adequate.

Although there's no concierge, the front desk personnel were happy to recommend restaurants, attractions, etc.

To be fair, the front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

There's no room service, the restaurant, which closes early, is sub par, and the hotel staff is not terribly hospitable.

Some Negatives, No pool is available (much to the concern of our 16 yo,) they do valet the cars-(additional fee for parking), not all of them are kept on premises, which we were not informed of.

There's barely a lobby, and the elevators are tiny.

The hotel has valet parking at all times.

If it's a good deal, then no problem - it's a decent place with free high speed internet access.

The staff was very nice, and the rooms were large and clean.

Although room very clean, it was very drafty and cold with a continous breeze right down the middle of the room.

Room was clean and well-maintained throughout the visit.

Fairly decent hotel with adequate and clean rooms.
