Garretts Desert Inn Santa Fe - 圣菲

Within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants, great location and the hotel is conveniently located near the Santa Fe Plaza.

It was the location, close to EVERYTHING, that made it such a great place to stay.

The best part of the stay at Desert Inn was its location next to a delightful cafe - Le Zodiac - great breakfasts and coffee!

The location was PERFECT and the only good thing about the hotel was its proximity to things.

We had never been to Santa Fe before and were keen to stay in a centrally located property, where we could access the old town center on foot.

Once we got a room (2 queen bedroom) and unpacked, I went to bed and felt that it was a bit sandy.

What they were calling queen size beds, after looking at their double bed rooms, I would call a double bed any where else, and the double, a hollywood twin.

The rooms and property are nothing special and the bed was horrible!

Our second room was adequate-we had a singe, king size bed.

The room I stayed in had a king bed, a dresser, a table and two chairs.

The restaurant in the hotel is closed, however there is a casual deli that serves breakfast and sandwiches, although we did not eat there.

I cannot comment on the bar or restaurant as I did spend my "extra" money on fine dining, but the inn's Zodiac Cafe looked fine, as did the lounge.

We ate lunch at a Tex-Mex type restaurant called Bumble Bee's (on Cerillos).

I was craving a particular food item and asked the woman at the front desk for a restaurant suggestion.

We ate in several excellent restaurants while in Santa Fe.

Great location, the best pizza in Santa Fe and the maid service was efficient.

Staff was generally courteous and the employees were friendly and helpful.

Furthermore staff very friendly and helpful, central heat, cheap sheets.

The maid service was efficient and thorough, the pool was clean and sun-filled (although, again, not fancy-- it's next to the parking lot), and the employees were friendly and helpful.

Overall, since I didn't hang there and use the facilities(the pool was closed but the snow had just left, I didn't spend time in the fitness room) I have to say it was decent.

The Garrett Inn was excellent in regards to cleanliness, accessibility to the lobby, amenities, the car and walkable destinations.

Cafe next door has free wireless internet.

A reasonable price, nice staff and the room was clean.
