We stayed 4 nights in mid-October 2003, selecting on the basis of location, facilities and relative price compared to other hotels on the internet.
No way would I ever stay there again well at least not for four star prices for a two star hotel.
After my room service selection I stuck to drinks which were about average for hotel prices in Marbella.
A word of warning - I booked and paid via the web but when I checked out of the hotel they tried to charge me again saying the agency had not paid them so I would have to pay again and take it up with the agency.
Well located near all beach restaurants and fantastic location.
Close to the old town, the location is excellent and the hotel has a lovely spot on the beach.
Just few minutes walk to Marbella old town and quiet location next to promenade.
You need to take a taxi or bus to Puerto Banues.
It cost us 62 Euro to get from the airport to the hotel and 52 Euro on the way back!
The room was spacious, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spotless, mini bar was pretty well stocked although get bottled water elsewhere as the bottles in the mini bar are tiny and with the heat we were flying through them.
Our room was good size, our only "real" double bed on the whole trip (the rest of the hotels we had two singles pushed together).
I book a double bed I want a double bed not two single beds thrown together!
The bathroom was clean and well decorated with a shower over the bath, which I really, really dislike.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was fab, everything you could think of, even a glass of champagne!
The beach restaurant serves great seafood at reasonable prices during the day, and the buffet breakfast was very impressive, however we didn't have dinner at the hotel.
If you stay here try leaving the hotel onto the promenade and turning left out of town - at the beginning of the season a tapas bar had just opened and fish restaurants at the marina.
The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts i have had.
Restaurant/bar service was below average.
Breakfast expensive unless you want to eat a lot of food.
The view was beautiful, hotel was very nice and vicky on reception was such a lovely staff.
The hotel was great, the staff/service, great.
We were surprised that so many of the service staff in Marbella come from countries other than Spain.
Reception staff were a little sharp but so are most Spanish , think its their way!
The old town, good location and the Fuerte Miramar Spa hotel has a nice relaxing pool.
My wife and I are just back from a 14 day stay at the Fuerte Miramar Spa.
Beach towels were supplied every day at the pool as were sun loungers on the beach, just be sure to get there early as supply does not always meet demand.
Rooms are modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean and the views are pretty amazing.

Everything was very clean and a good selection of Fuerte branded bath foam, shower cap etc.
