It is a bit odd calling a hotel a value at this price range, but French Quarter Inn somehow achieves the luxury and value category.
Tristan has the BEST lunch value for quality food in the downtown area with the convienece of being right in the hotel.
They wouldn’t have cost the hotel more that $5 a day per guest.
Plus, this hotel was located in the ideal location - right across from the Marketplace.
The location is great, with the Market located just a block away.
It is located right off of Market street, a perfect location to visit the Market Street district and a short walk to King Street shopping.
The Assistant Manager had told us before out stay to make sure we had transport prebooked at Amtrak because of the location and lack of taxis.
The hotel is ideally located to discover this lovely city on foot and even horse carriage.

Our accommodations included a spacious room with a king bed, a bathroom that was well, big, and a living rom with a sofa, fireplace and balcony.
The room was quite spacious and very comfortable for the 4 of us: we had 2 queen beds and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower.

We did not eat in their restaurant, Tristan's, while we were there; however, the breakfasts delivered to the room each morning were delicious.
They serve a continental breakfast which we did not have as we went out for a full breakfast (it was good at several nearby hotel restaurants).
If you're a warm breakfast eater, just walk to a nearby restaurant for grits and eggs.
We loved the ambiance of the champagne & lady fingers reception and the breakfast was bar none.

The service was excellent during our stay from the front door staff to the concierge to the housekeepers.
While there was no pool and parking was valet only at $15/night, the hotel provided plenty of nice touches and amenities.
Hotel Lobby is nice (sans the elevator issue).
Moreover, there is no comfortable place to sit in the lobby for the breakfast offerings (not enough to call it a "buffet") if it is too cold or wet to sit on the lovely terrace.
The Inn is beautiful, the staff knowledgable and helpful, the rooms were clean and perfectly accomodated.
Our room was big and always kept spotless by the housekeeping staff.
The hotel is new and clean, the staff MOST accomodating and helpful, and the rooms are very nice.
The service is very good, your room is large and light and clean, breakfast is wonderful.
The staff was nice and bathroom were very clean and attractive.
