Francis Marion Hotel Charleston - 查尔斯顿

Located in Charleston’s Historic district provides easy access to the market area and overall the hotel is in a good location that is close to shops.

Great location: The Francis Marion is located downtown, very conveniently located on two of the trolley lines so you can buy a pass an hop on and off for easy access around downtown.

The location is good, it is located on the north end of King Street, right where the boutique shopping begins, and across the street from a park.

We rented a car from Budget for only $33 for 24 hours at the end of our trip to visit the Magnolia plantation and drive ourselves to the airport (saving the cab or shuttle fare).

If you do not want to walk all the time the bike taxis will pick you up.

The suite consisted of a large bedroom with a King Size bed, two large bathrooms, a massive dining room, a good-sized kitchenette, a large foyer and a huge living room.

The Location is wonderful, we stayed in a standard room with one queen bed, but apparently all the rooms are equipped with suites, and two flat panel tvs.

Orange drop cords ran around the room, stuffed under the bed and desk, MOLD everywhere-window sills, bathroom and baseboards.

Our room had a King Size Bed, the view was nice, the bathroom was very nice, just small.

The bed linens and beds were excellent but as mentioned in other reviews the bathrooms were european.

We had wonderful meals at restaurants I highly recommend: Breakfast: Poogan's Porch.

We ate lunch on the last day at the Swamp Fox Restaurant and were very happy with the food.

Towels were clean, the breakfast at the restaurant was great and the wine list was impressive.

The staff was friendly, the breakfast at the restaurant was great, the room had the old world feel that I was looking for and yet had the modern amenities you would want.

Fortunately the service in the Swamp Fox restaurant and bar was very good.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful, from the front desk to the concierge.

The concierge was very knowledgeable and the front desk staff was most accommodating and gracious.

No elevator on Lobby Level when you enter, so if you have large luggage, you must lug it up to 2nd floor lobby to check in.

It looks historic, but it has all the amenities of a new hotel including a spa and fitness center.

Disappointed that there was no pool and with parking.

Wireless internet is $10/day which is just plain silly.

The wireless internet is hard to connect through.

Nothing special about the bathroom at all, but it was clean and did the trick.

The staff was less than cordial and the rooms were not very clean.

What really counts is good service, clean rooms, and someplace in the hotel where one can sit outside or in comfortable common areas.

The housekeeping staff did a fine job keeping the room clean.

Our room was clean and the staff very friendly.
