Fortezza Hotel

Good location and the hotel is well located.

The location was great in the heart of the old town close to the fort and harbour.

I had asked for such a room, because I had learned from another review that streetside rooms could be noisy due to scooters and other noisy traffic.

TV with only Greek channels and one German channel, cold, bare floors, and noise - lots of door slamming (very loose doors), audible conversation from next door rooms, sounds from as far as two floors above (doors, furniture moving, etc.

In addition room small and very nice swimming pool.

The hotel has a large, staff friendly and helpful, nice Venetian inspired decorationin the room.

We only had our breakfast there and ate out in another restaurant every night.

Good location, easy walk to the harbour, fort , atmospheric streets and many restaurants (tapas bar next door a favourite) All in all we felt very pleased.

We arrived early morning and although our room wasn't ready until noon, we were invited to enjoy the breakfast buffett and to wait in the lounge area near the pool.

There are tons of restaurants, shops, and clubs nearby and the fortress is just up the block.

Wih a parking is really a plus in this old part of the town and the pool area is nice.

The hotel is not on a beach but nearby, the star feature is it is large and reliable; clean; and has parking (if you can find your way through the town maze).

The pool is nice, but only gets sun in the morning and there are only a handful of sun loungers.
