The hotel's stunning exterior and well-maintained garden create a jaw-dropping first impression. The spacious and comfortable rooms and bathrooms, complete with a super comfy bed, ensured a mind-blowing sleep. No noise disturbances at night. The perfect breakfast provided everything needed to start the day. The location, ideal for those with a car, offers free parking and easy access to Avila town. The poolside towels were a super touch. The hardworking and pleasant staff were always ready to assist.

big, beautiful room, very comfortable bed.. very nice spa and charming person in charge
The restaurant is simply not up to the hotel. Dishes on the dinner menu that are not well cared for.. Wine list with DO Rivera del Duero with two wines and they didn't have either. We ordered a family wine that was quite good but when we finished we had some left over and asked if we could take it up to the room they said yes but they didn't even have the detail of offering us two glasses (we remember that it is a four star hotel). Above all we want to emphasize that at the beginning of the dinner and as a starter we asked for a portion of Iberian ham (really .. or Iberian bait ...) at least if you have a sliced ham in an envelope let it temper before serving it on a plate, we felt cheated and did not claim because we were going a night of relaxation and did not want to lose time or energy with it. 22 euros for a portion of Serrano ham. I would tell you as an advice to announce it like this in the menu JAMÓN SERRANO so that people do not feel cheated, because to us this detail changed the perspective of the hotel that is a wonder.

The best of all are the rooms, spacious and pleasant with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom with shower and bathtub. The breakfast was correct, and one of the waiters was always at hand so that I never missed anything.
To spend a day is not bad, I expected more than one Fontecruz. It is a hotel that given its distance from the city, its greater income is from the numerous events that it does throughout the year, so that is something that can be noticed in the maintenance, something left in the paint, carpets.. grass of the pool is completely dry, there were no sunbeds, to go out to the pool you have to go through a room completely upside down with a horrible picture. tables in the restaurant are very narrow and imitation leather tablemats do not make the dinner more comfortable. latter, for the cost of the menu, is not bad, although the waiters service is a bit "empanao" (like the lifeguard) and flamingos serve them frozen inside. best thing is that because of the mistake, we were invited to the drink and coffee. Quite a detail, really.

The Club of Fitness and Spa was a hit with everyone, providing a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after a long day exploring Avila. The spa offered a unique artistic concept that broke away from the conventional spa experience, making it enjoyable for the whole family. The kids especially loved the colourful and interactive elements, which added a touch of excitement. It truly exceeded our expectations for a hotel spa!
For dads, it would be great to have more kid-friendly options in the restaurant menu.

From the Spa:. right. From the restaurant:. dinner was VERY good, in quality and quantity, breakfast buffet was very complete. From the room:. nice decoration, beautiful views, big bathroom, big bed, very comfortable mattress. service people and waiters are very nice
The spa:. 1. gave towels instead of a bathrobe,. 2. in the men's changing room not a single locker of the 40 that were there, . 3. there was no soap in the spa showers. 4. There was only one wooden stool where two men could sit. 5. The women's dress was not particularly clean. From the restaurant. A little slow to serve (from the time we sat down until we finished dinner it took more than 1h30). From the room:. 1. Some more powerful light was missing. To bathe, they left us a few sachets of soap and shampoo, which were insufficient and did not reflect the quality of a four-star hotel, and coming from a spa where there was no soap, ... 3. The slightly thin pillow

Great location, spacious room, and excellent bar service. We were pleasantly surprised by the stunning surroundings and the convenience of the hotel's location. Our room was spacious and comfortable, providing a much-needed retreat after a long day of exploring. The bar staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I would recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a very quiet place about 3 km from Avila. It is well communicated with the center, by car you are in 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly. We were a couple and booked a junior suite. For amplitude to spare. But the room is a bit old. The carpet on the floor doesn't help much, I think nowadays to put carpet is a delay. In the room we found ourselves in a corner with a big hair ball. The pillows are toys. The shower, besides the water coming out of the bathroom was of contrasts, as soon as it was cold as it burned you. The breakfast, buffet, normalito, everything was rich but they did not have anything spectacles. As in many hotels the glasses for the juice are almost shot. I don't think I went back to this hotel, although I can't say it was bad. It's just that it has major flaws.

It was the best hotel that I had been in Spain. The room was wonderful, very clean and big. They have a wire internet that working very well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and speaking English. It is very quiet, peaceful hotel, and very good for relaxation. I could work late on nice desk without any interference.
The address of the hotel is bit misleading as it is not in Avila and the gps taking you to the Fontecruz road in the city, only when I remembered that it near the golf area I found it very easily.

My stay at Fontecruz was absolutely delightful. The location outside the city provided a breath of fresh air and the spacious rooms were a welcome sight. I was impressed by the recent repainting of the rooms, although the furniture could use an update. The bathroom was large and well-designed, with a separate area for the closet and a convenient bathtub and shower. The highlight of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which was the perfect way to start my day. I highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful location, comfortable rooms, and tasty breakfast.

Good location if you are looking for tranquility and open space with swimming pool and golf (whoever likes it). On the outskirts of Avila but only about 5 minutes long from the centre (by car). room we had (top) was a big size, bed was huge. bathroom was big and clean
It is in urgent need of aesthetic remodeling,. corridors of the rooms and rooms have an "old" and very "busy" look. Carpeting in general is very worn, with a lot of tute, as well as the armchairs in the rooms. Furniture that is too sober and has an old-fashioned appearance. Small TV (for the size of the room) and old, also the night I was not working. It seems that the general antenna had been damaged the day before by the wind, of course they took it easy to fix it.

Without a doubt, most outstanding feature of this hotel is its location (in the middle of the field) and bedroom with a king size bed and very quiet. Nothing can be heard from the outside or from the adjoining rooms. spa is fine is small, correct and staff is charming.
staff that was at night zero professional and zero resolution, we asked for a corkscrew because the hotel itself has a wine stand and they told us that they did not have one and that in the bar they did not have one either, (a 4 star hotel without a corkscrew, it is something unheard of, my impression was rather that the two employees that were in reception did not feel like looking for a corkscrew), so we asked for a knife to open the cork of the bottle and answer was the same. I DID NOT SAY CREDIT. Next in the minibar they have the price list of the alcoholic drinks and when we went to order them they told us that they didn't have any either, so I recommend the hotel not to offer a service that they don't have.

During our stay, we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the opportunity to relax. We were impressed with the spacious and clean rooms, and were delighted with the attention paid to details such as the shower area and the decor. The breakfast was very satisfying and the staff went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. we enjoyed the diverse amenities such as golf and the sauna circuit.
We had to deal with some noise disturbances during a wedding that occurred on the premises.

A lovely Hotel with ample on-site secure car parking. All the staff were welcoming and attentive to our needs. The room was much larger than average and very clean. The bar service and evening meal was well catered for, and the only member of staff on duty that evening was extremely pleasant and very helpful in advising a meal suitable for a Gluten-Free visitor. Breakfast was very good. Checking in and out was seamless and efficient.
It was an absolute nightmare to find the Hotel! Despite up-to-date SatNav guidance neither the address or telephone number of the Hotel was recognised. We telephoned the Hotel twice to say we were lost and were given the incorrect co-ordinates on the first call and only the road number on the second call. There was no signposting to the Hotel off a busy dual-carriageway - and there's nothing more frustrating than sailing past your Hotel with no opportunity to exit the highway! What a great shame, for we wasted valuable time to visit Avila ... the old walled city being a most fascinating place to discover (once you have negotiated driving through the modern outer city which totally encompasses and swamps the old city). One of the biggest highlights of our adventurous touring holiday was to discover Avila, and this was severely restricted through spending so much time trying to locate an otherwise beautiful Hotel.

The room decoration was nice and cozy, the bed was comfortable and the views were breathtaking. The restaurant's menu was diverse, and the service was prompt and friendly. The hotel's location was perfect for a romantic getaway, as it was nestled in the midst of charming surroundings.
The experience was marred by the poor condition of the hotel facilities. The pool was neglected, and the water was dull and cloudy.
