There is some money being spent on this hotel right now, but that does not detract from the fact that it is in an excellent setting.
By Dublin standards the hotel is good value, staff have always been attentive and friendly, the large drawing room is both cosy.

Great location, pleasant surrondings lovely drive lots of character people like President Clinton and will be happy to stay again we are in the locality.
I have actually been to a couple of weddings at Finnstown, and I couldn't think of a better location for such occasions.
Very good location 15 kms from dublin center, great place and the country house was lovely.
The hotel is ideally situated just off the N4, around 20 minutes drive from the airport (don't take the directions on the hotel website!
A short walk away is a small shopping centre and its a short drive from the airport.
Also such a comfortable bed and high ceilings.
We booked through Octopustravel and got a very good bed and breakfast deal.

The main house is welcoming with peat fires and comfortable furniture in the main rooms.
Bar prices are also high and the restaurant itself is most attractive.
Breakfast was held in a pleasant dining room and food etc was very good.
At breakfast, a meal where the menu indicated a full supply of interesting food and the reality on the buffet was totally different, I asked for fish.
Staff were helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was good.
The main hotel building is a lovely old Irish country house, the restaurant evening meals are excellent too - good choice on menu.

The main hotel was comfortable country house style and the wedding reception itself was wonderful - the staff were so helpful.

Though the guests have usage of the pool, gym etc.
I didn't have time to check out the pool or spa facilities, but I would be tempted to stay here again the next time I am in the area.
There was a Gamesroom with pool and tabletennis.
On a whole the room was clean, food at the wedding was very good.
