The food and prices at the hotel are decent.

Yet they were trying to get full price for a hotel thatt was operating at less than 50 %.

The hotel did nothing to help us recover the money.

The beach is lovely - small, the location of the resort is ideal and versus the large sterile ten-story hotels like the Riu.

Beach were wonderful, dinner in the Palapa restaurant on site was quite nice and the location of this hotel was perfect.

Nice beach side restaurant, the location couldn't have been better for me and the hotel staff is very friendly.

Taxis always available, bus lines on street.

We actually thought the unabashed pushiness at the airport - just to get to your cab or limo you have to fend off all the Moon Palace people, who masquerade as vacation advisors, or some such thing- was much worse than the hotel salespeople.

The bedroom had a king size bed, and then the living room had a pull out couch.

Unfortunately, in the small 2-bed room, out electricity in the bathroom never worked.

Jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, full living and dining areas and a comfortable king size bed, still not at level with Westin chains and their "heavenly beds" of the Marriott Renaissance chain but it was very comfortable.

It had a large jacuzzi tub and shower and a separate "water closet" (toilet room).

Our unit's large bedroom had a king-size bed, conventional TV (not flat-screen) , and ample closet space with a safe.

9) Buying 3 meals a day will set you back about $125-150/day if you ate at the hotel (for 2 adults) -- but the food is just Ok (breakfast is nice) so it's best to go to local restaurants instead.

A very beautiful mall is the Plaza Kulkucan Mall which has some very good restaurants (try the Chinese restaurant there, excellent value and great food) and a lot of boutiques.

The food was decent at the beach restaurant/bar, but there was no service on the beach.

4) The *one* restaurant was just OK and I can tell they reuse food over and over again (dinner beef will be served in the eggs at breakfast).

Our room was spacious, the breakfast bar was well stocked and daniel Valencia the Chief Concierge was excellent.

Additionally hotel staff is freindly, the concierge service is very good and the rooms used to be nice.

The service was EXCELLENT, the concierge was extremely helpful and our room was not noisy.

At a reasonable price, the lobby chairs plenty comfortable and great service at the beach/pool area.

The premises are inviting with an ample airy lobby overlooking the a beautiful well kept pool area.

Another bar and large lounge area with a pool table off lobby.

Beach is beautiful, comfortable area near the giftshop you can get free wireless and the stuff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Internet Access: They say they have wi-fi but were unable to get it to work on my Centrino laptop.

Room was clean, the food was pretty good and the facilities were great.

The staff is courteous and the rooms are nice and clean.

The staff are very attentive and gracious, the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Rooms are clean and the food at the Fiesta Americana is very good.

The rooms were very clean & showed no age.

    The on-site restaurant was very convenient, shops around the hotel were fine for getting souveners and the service was very good. Room was nice and the food was great. The pool was beautiful.

    Beautiful views from the balcony, a good value at $22 and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious, the restaurant had a wonderful breakfast buffet and the pool was nice and clean.

    Stop at the north end of Akumal on the way back for a fantastic open-air lunch at Lol-Ha and great places to eat in walking distance. The staff are very attentive and gracious, the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

    Very well located and stopping at the various ports along the way. In addition such a great value, u-shaped buildings in bright color that contrasted beautifully and the beach is beautiful the waiter comes over. Staff is extremely courteous, the beds are huge and the toilet didn't flush properly. The restaurants are reasonable, eating outdoors for dinner is fine and the pool is now heated.

    Bus transportation was simple and cheap, the mini store was adequate. The view was awesome, the beach was nice as well and sundries in the hotel were amazing. The service was EXCELLENT, the concierge was extremely helpful and our room was not noisy. The kitchen was efficient and the food was quite good.

    Great Beach and reasonable distance to entertainment. A good swimming area and historical hotel. Prices are high and the staff could not have been better. The rooms are clean, another outdoor restaurant is open for lunch and the Pool is very nice.

    The beach wonderful and many nice restaurants nearby. Near the Conventions Center, tranquil atmosphere and reasonable prices. The staff very helpful, accommodating concierge and one big living room.

    A little store instead, wIreless in lounge was sometimes slow and the gym was rarely busy.
