What you get for your money is a modern clean spacious hotel,.
Well located for shopping and very good quality hotel.
Close to the old city, the best part of Hotel Faro is the location and good breakfast at 4th floor.
We liked the location, also there is a bus nearby that goes to many beaches along the algarve and the staff at Hotel Faro are helpful and efficient.
The Hotel Faro is in a terrific location, handy for shops, the promenade and public transport.
Taxi from airport to hotel costs about 8 Euro and is only a short drive away.
You can get to the Faro hotel very easily by bus from the airport for 11/2euros.
The room was average size but the large bed was very comfortable and there was a TV, mini bar (quite reasonable prices) and air conditioning/heating.
Room clean, but we were give two sepaete beds, we asked for a double bed and were told that this was the norm in Portugal, however it is not as we had a double bed in a very nice hotel in Lisbon.
Our late arrival and request for an extra bed for our four-year-old were handled efficiently, as were our reqests for a plug for our bath and extra pillows.
The room was quite small - just about accommodating a double bed - but lacked any tea making facilities.
The rooms are new with nice wood floors, comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms with new fixtures.
The restaurant offers excellent value and the quality of the food is probably far better than some of the nearby restaurants.
The breakfast, served in the top-flooor restaurant, was sumptuous, with one of the best buffet selections I have ever seen.
Great views at breakfast over the city, very friendly staff and good cuisine.
On the slight downside the bar is devoid of any atmosphere whatever and the breakfast needs to be of far superior quality.
The roof top restaurant had lovely views you had a window seat, the staff were very friendly and breakfast was very good.
the old part of town, i had a wonderful stay and mainly the friendly staff also the reception was open 24 hours each day.
Good location/ good reception staff and simple you expect from a hotel.
We found the reception staff to be very helpful and efficient, unlike some other reviewers - I think they have recently moved the reception area to the ground floor so that might have made a difference.
The reception area is clean and the staff were pleasant.
There are little facilities with no pool or gym.
Had a charming view and whilst parking was 10 euros a night there was plenty of free parking a 5 minute walk away from the hotel.
Once you get out of the lift it is a surprise to see cream coloured carpets on the floors in the corridors - not the best colour as you can imagine!
