The location is not bad though, very close to Pilgramgasse underground and various tram stops.

Perhaps the only downside I can see is the location, which is still not too bad.

A decent and safe location, but may prove to be a bit too far from the center for tourists who are keen to be within walking distance of major sites.

Everything is within walking distance, including the subway and the center of town (though it's probably better to take a taxi in cold weather).

Various tram stops and taxis are not particularly expensive in Vienna.

Our room was quite small, and the bathroom door, which was right next to my sister's bed, didn't lock and was difficult to close properly.

However, I wanted to avoid the situation I was in last time I visited Vienna, in which I stayed at an inexpensive hotel that had a very small room and a tiny twin bed.

Rooms appeared to be old, and the bed were to soft.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing - if you weren't there early, it seemed that you didn't eat, because there didn't appear to be anybody topping up the food.

The hotel features a bar serving small plates, but no real food.

I didn't eat at the restaurant, it seemed expensive.

The cost was about half of a major hotel (about $110 per night), and it included the best breakfast buffet I have seen outside of Las Vegas.

Excellent Hotel just 2 stops on the Metro from Karlsplatz, well air-conditioned and the bar was a friendly.

The elevator has some neat blue lighting and there was one computer in the lobby for free internet access (no chair however).

One of the lifts was out of order throughout our stay, which meant that we quite often took the stairs rather than joining the queue for the lift.

The on-site "spa" area is pleasant and quiet, with a small sauna and workout area.

Most of the upper floors have not been renovated yet, and lack high-speed internet.

Initially had room 308 which was very clean but compact.

All in all an excellent hotel, the service was otherwise good and the room was clean.
