I new the location was convenient and read good reviews but was very pleasantly surprised when I checked in and found the property and the staff to far exceed my expectations.

The location of the hotel is convenient to San Francisco - about 15-20 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge.

The word suite implies more than one of something - a bedroom suite has several pieces of furniture - a musical suite has several pieces of music - and a hotel suite ought to have more than a single room.

The rooms are surprisingly well appointed with an LCD TV, DVD player, full size refrigerator/freezer, stove top, microwave, recliner, clock radio with MP3 hookup, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, and two desks with chairs.

Another review mentioned that the hotel does not have bathtubs, however we found that some of the suites did have this option, and was based on request.

I have a gripe against hotels that claim to have "suites" that are actually a single room.

What passes for a suite at the Extended Stay Deluxe is a single room with a small area for a kitchen.

Even though breakfast was not offered on the weekend, it was no big deal since the rate was so low.

The Front Desk was very helpful in getting us to restaurants that met our needs.

There are not as many restaurants and stores in the immediate area of the hotel as you might expect.

You have to drive about 5-10 minutes up the road to find some commonly known restaurants and stores.

2) The advertised fruit and bagel in the morning is apparently served only Monday - Friday, which we discovered when we went there for Saturday breakfast.

Very reasonable as compared to other Marin Hotels and nice staff.

My complaints, besides the noise, may be petty, but they go to my creature comforts and common expectations (1) you have to ask for shampoo at the front desk.

The hotel also had an indoor pool, and hot tub, fitness center and business center.

Only one of the elevators was working - a real problem in a full hotel.

Wireless internet is also available for an extra charge, however there are PCs available in the business center that have free internet access.

New hotel with lots of amenities including a large and clean laundry room that came in handy after almost a week traveling.
