The reason is trifold: the location is ideal as is within walking distance to downtown, this hotel is great value for money and staff is always super courteous.
Location was good, this hotel was probably the best value we had and then I went to the front desk they.
The price of the hotel does not include parking.
I spent 4 nights as this hotel (June 10-14) and found it to be sufficient for my purpose and fair value for what I paid ($112/night from Hotwire).
The location is perfect for me - close to family and to that end your Hotel covered all the Boxes Close to Granville Island.
I loved the location and many great nearby restaurants.
Good location, smart hotel and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Also I took local transit to the Airport and the bus stop was only 2 blocks away on the same side of the street and cost me $2.
It was a five minute walk to catch the water taxi to Granville Island and the hop-on/hop-off trolley car stops in front of the hotel next door.
So if you book a room rememeber the rooms are tiny unless you book an apartment or one of the suites.
The bed was large and warm, LCD tv (not that that mattered) and a nice bathroom.
When we arrived at the hotel, and were taken to our room we went down a small hallway and literally ran in to the bed.
Now as you can see from our ratings we enjoyed our stay very much the service was fantastic, one person in particular who when I told that my partner didn't even fit on the bed graciously offered to upgrade our room.
Quiet inspite of its city location, friendly staff and really enjoed having the Jacuzzi in the bedroom next to the comfortable King bed.
I considered the hotel restaurant for breakfast, but it was really expensive.
RESTAURANT: I managed to eat at the restaurant one night as I was too tired to venture out again and was pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant was even reasonable priced, the wine tasting each evening was interesting.
The hotel touts itself as a fine dining experience but I ate 2 meals there and found them less than satisfactory.
Location was very good - easy walk to restaurants, we had a very pleasant stay and the staff was always friendly and helpful.
With the exception of Albert the concierge who was very helpful and a really nice guy, the staff totally ignored us, especially the reception staff.
Furthermore exceptional concierge services and large room.
Furthermore front desk excellent service especially " Gus and the rooms are clean.
Well located in the heart of the city, nice looking hotel and front desk staff are pleasant.
The hotel is undergoing some renovation in the front lobby, but we weren't bothered by noise by it.
I could hear interstate traffic and was also right by the elevator, so more noise.
I also had inquired about the advertised free downtown shuttle in advance of my arrival and was given information that it ran all day on availability.
Service was good, bathroom was updated and clean.
The rooms were very clean, food was very good.
Location great, hotel staff was very helpfull and the room was very clean.
Room was clean & comfortable and the concierge was very helpful on advising us to get around.
ROOM: The room was really small but clean.
