  We took a romantic beachfront studio and I must say its worth the splurge. Frankly, think the beachfront studio is better than the pool villa due to the view of the seafront. The room was beautiful, very clean and the staff all extremely friendly. The large bath tub in the room was good though it took some time to fill it up (not unexpected given the size of the tub).

  We upgraded to the pool villa (special offer) to give us more space and our own secluded pool and bathroom area (sunk-in bath surrounded by lily pond, outdoor double shower and plunge pool with 2 loungers and day bed). Lots of extras such as free internet, newspapers, bowls of apples around the resort, water, biodegradable bathroom products, mosquito coils, incences, bags, umbrellas, wet bag, after sun lotion etc all provided for your use. All rooms have DVD players with surround sound system including free DVDs and CDs are available for your entertainment. Each room is assigned a butler for your personal requests so you have a point of contact, if they are unable to help they will find someone who will and they are happy to serve, if you ask. The pool is beachfront although a road runs in between which is non intrusive as it allows passing vendors to sell good such as ice creams, coconuts and drinks providing a true Thai feel.

  Beer, juice and basic food can be bought locally (cheaply), laundry and massage places typical in Thailand are right next door.

  Six Sense Spa WAY overpriced and always empty> Shower head is sub standard. Netting around beds needs replacing as do the bathrobes.

• There are no tourist shops here but it is great mingling with the local villagers.

  We booked a pool room (unless you book a pool room I dont see the point in staying at the Evason! The rooms cost the same, but dining and spa costs were cheaper here. Its 12 USD in a taxi to Hua hin and a 20 min drive. We booked our original rooms though Asia rooms dot com. It turned out that although I had booked both pool villas they were different rooms. The booking with asia rooms was a larger room, larger pool and a free wireless internet access in the room. If you have time I would definately book through Asia Rooms rather than Booked. But for value for money, Asia rooms was far superior. The dining here was good but not excellent,. The service was excellent also (Although Samui was marginally better).

  Our pool villa was perfect and we enjoyed the entire stay very much. The service staff was highly professional (best we have seen in 5+ star resorts so far) and were always available if needed. The staff will do their utmost to make your stay perfect. Looking at what you get for your money (perfectly kept facilities, highly professional staff, excellent food and drinks) the prices are very, very reasonable.

  It is very far from Hua Hin center (eventhough there is a shuttle service). With respect to the prices in the resort for everything from spa treatments to drinks and food only this: It's a 5+ star resort.

  Sitting by the poolside, their white sunbrellas, lush and thick sun-chair futons, earth-tone concrete pool all seemed so at ease with the resort experience than the uber-chic resorts we come to take for granted.

  I paid B3,500 including VAT and Service charge (which adds up to 17. Wireless is available only in the common areas, by the pond and the pool.

  After a week of living in an enclosed tropical garden courtyard, even an atttractive one such as this, it can still begin to feel at little claustrophobic. The very hyped spa did not live up to its reputation. Also as this is a green resort, the grey water at the spa is recylcled which makes the lily ponds in the spa compound unattractive. The beach shack for dinner overlooks the sea and pretends to be a rustic shack, albeit a rather perfect shack The villas are perfectly designed and have a decent size pool, providing that you go for the Pool Villa Suite and not the smaller catergories. The foods and service were of a high standard which was in line with the not inconsiderable tariff.

• The room was amazing, such beautiful furniture. There was an enormous day bed, the size of a double - great for lazing on to watch a film, or just chill. Outdoors we had an amazing pool, not big enough to swim in, but it certainly kept us cool. Enough of the room - the food was wonderful, plenty of choice. Wine tasting was fun & informative, the little shop on the beach made us some amazing clothes at great prices. All in all a wonderful stay, the staff were great, special thanks to Jaew, our butler, she was amazing.

  There was an enormous bath which was sunken into a pool full of tiny fish & lillies.
