The Etoile is in a perfect location, in the center of the elegant Recoletta, near fanstastic, elegant restaurants and boutiques.

Rooms: Stayed in one level above standard; the room was large, including a separate area for the bed, bath and lounge area.

It has a table and a some chairs in the first room, a bed and a tv in the second room and a couch and two love seats in the third.

The bedroom is large and all the rooms have bathtub with hydro.

Our room was run down with dirty, old carpet, one bed for me and my friend when I requested two.

I asked to be moved to a room with a larger bed, which they did, then tried to charge me $267 per night extra (the original rate was about $130 per night - same room, larger bed, $267 per night more?

The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet breakfast with excellent coffee/special breakfasts service.

If you are unfamiliar with Buenos Aires, do a lot of research prior to staying at Etoile or stay in a hotel with some form of concierge service--you'll get nothing out of the staff here.

The front desk, concierge, and servers spoke English.

The maid service was exceptional and our room very clean.

I was impressed with the facilities of the hotel eg swimming pool,sauna,gym , and free internet facility etc.

There was no resemblance to the website photos of the lobby, rooms, swimming pool, spa, etc.

I had use of the lovely spa and pool during that time, which was a great convenience.

While it's not brand-spankin' new, it's very clean and the rooms have all the amenities.

The good things are that it was always clean, our room was gigantic, the staff was friendly (though not all speak English fluently, but most do), and it was located in the heart of everything.
