The first boutique hotel in the region also designed in an avant-garde style, this four-star Esplendor El Calafate is close to major shopping and cultural places since it is located in the very heart of Argentine Patagonia.

The interior and exterior décors mainly focus on Patagonian elements and modern touches.

All 57 concept and suite rooms of Esplendor El Calafate feature queen size or twin beds, Wi-Fi internet connection, large TV with cable, mini-bar, telephone and bathroom with tube.

There is a cozy restaurant and modern bar all serving menu inspired by international and Patagonian flavors and tastes along with traditional and creative drinks and beverages.

The large ballroom on the mezzanine offers superb views of Lake Argentino and features 143sqm of space for up to 170 persons in cocktail set-up. Additionally courier service such as- fax and photocopy are available on request.

The on-site spa welcomes to wide swimming pool and relaxing body treatments such as Masaje Corporal Magenta, Masaje Aromatizante Lesstres, Circuito Piedras Calientes Clarity and Shock Rejuvenecedor de Belleza Facial.

All rooms come decorated in combination with African motives and modern elements and offer a view of the lake, the city or the mountain. They all feature beds with pillow top, individually adjustable heating, electronic safe box, lock with magnetic card, and hairdryer.

Suites offer 29’ TV with cable and DVD player, audio equipment, living area with chairs and chaise longue, toilet kit and hairdryer, additional round-shaped tub in room, with panoramic view of Lake Argentino.

Concept rooms feature 21’ TV with cable, telephone and toilet kit included.

Breakfast buffet is included in your stay for free and is served daily in the on-site restaurant.

The restaurant serves the combination of Patagonian flavors and international cuisine, freshly prepared meats and healthy fruits, in-house bakery and pastry and invites to its wine cellar with a great selection of the best wines of all regions of Argentina. Open Monday through Sunday, from noon to 3pm and from 8pm till midnight.

The bar, serving traditional and signature drinks, international cocktails and delicious Patagonian cold cuts, is located in a classic wing of the hotel, and has a space for up to 30 guests offering breathtaking views of the lake.

Open daily from 4pm to 1.30am.

The bar offers a great sunset view over the lake and staff was very attentive would recommend the Esplendor Hotel.
My nice room had a lake view, the hotel staff was wonderful and helpful, the lunchbox service was very good too.
For plusses that means better view of the lake, great hotel and the staff was very helpful.

Getting there

Lago Argentino Airport

It will take you nine minutes or around 3.5km to get to the hotel.

From the airport take southeast on Paseo de La Costanera toward De Las Liebres and then turn right onto De Los Cisnes. After left turn stay on De Los Cisnes and turn left onto Av Del Libertador Gral. San Martin and drive for around 1.4km to get right turn onto Av 17 de Octubre. Then turn left onto Av Juan Domingo Perón and you will reach the hotel’s entrance in 110m.

A pure pleasure to stay at the splendid hotel and good service. A great king bed and the bar staff excellent. Large sofas, contemporary Luxury.

No halfway house possible, just awful and not worth the price. Also, the internet was spotty in the room, fine in the lobby.
