  The bathroom had not been cleaned as it was obvious that someone had used the toilet before my arrival.

  My room had stains on the couch that would have shocked the CSI crew if they had come in with a black light. There was a mouse trap exposed under the bed. There was no remote control for the television.

  Besides the fact that it smelled like a hospital, our room had no telephone and the window had a bad leak. We complained to the front desk and they never took care of either problem.

  The staff was great but the room was not up to par. I bought cleaning supplies jjust so I would feel comfortable knowing that the bathroom was clean. It is also close to the North White Plains Metro-North RR so I drove and parked and rode the train right into Grand Central.

  We were upgraded to a junior suite and when I walked into the room all I could say was UGH. The room's air conditioner unit had a broken knob so the air was blowing very low. I called the front desk and complained and they sent someone from maintenance up and he said "All I can do is put a shield over the vents so it will blow out" WTH! The sheets were dingy and the tub/shower was substandard.

• We were assured the room would be cleaned too.

  The following morning went for breakfast at 9:10 to find it was closed, went to the front desk who stated it should be open to 9:30. Ann, at the desk called the kitchen to find out the kitchen closed the breakfast at 9:00 am, and did this because they were told it only runs till 9:00 am. He told us, "to-bad the breakfast is closed.

  The reviews of this hotel are RIGHT ON - pay attention. My first clue should have been when I was handed a key with a post-it note attached to it with my room number (which the gentleman at the desk loudly announced in front of other customers). It took me 40 minutes to get a hair dryer that the front desk person said should have been in the room. The room was filthy, furniture stained, bathroom.

  The girl that answered the phone said and I quote "There is a complimentary breakfast on the first.

  We were rather uneasy about an older man who had a room near the staircase at the end of the hall. He had the door to his room opened and his TV blasting all night. Around 1:00 am, I attempted to call the Front Desk and no one answered. The next morning, I tried repeatedly to call for Room Service to order Breakfast. I tried several times to call the extension that was on the Menu in our room and no answer. I called the front desk and the response I got was appalling! And when you do get an answer, rude staff? My Aunt and Uncle were also given a room and the carpets were. I have sent SEVERAL emails to various managers in this hotel and I have been in touch with the Better Business Bureau because all of my e-mails were ingored!
