Erguvan Hotel Istanbul - 伊斯坦布尔

The hotel is in a GREAT location right next to all the most popular tourist attractions.

And after twelve days of sight seeing we came to realize its location is as good as it gets.

The Erguvan is an excellent small, boutique hotel with a fantastic location in a wonderful city.

The hotel website offers courtesy airport pick-up for guests who stay four nights.

By the way, transportation back to the airport can be arranged for 4 EUROS (8 lira) at most tourist or car rental offices.

We found the bed to be a bit on the firm side in our room, but then no bed is ever going to be as good as what one is used to at home.

They even folded my pajamas and neatly laid them on the bed (nice touch).

The only slightly down side was that (in common with all hotels in Turkey) the bed was rock hard.

I enjoyed my stay at the Erguvan Hotel; The rooms are big like our want and comfortable and the bathrooms very clean.

At the end, we paid 58 EUR for our doble room per day (in cash), but at first they wanted to charge the "suite rate", which is 88 EUR.

Everyday, breakfast time on the terrace, and although there was a beautiful view, there were never enough dishes to take the breakfasts on.

Check out the nearby Doy-Doy Restaurant, good inexpensive Turkish cuisine, frequented by locals.

We certainly never left breakfast hungry and felt that we had eaten healthy fresh food.

It is also within walking distance of many historical sites, shops and restaurants.

Keep in mind that although all sites you want to see are in Sultanhamet but the food/restaurants (other than at the hotel) in the area are very mediocre and relatively overpriced compared to other areas in Istanbul, such as Taksim.

Above all i would like to thank the staff, especially the manager Hakan Oner and the receptionist Eyub because they were so friendly and helpful, giving me tips about the city i had no idea before.

Loved this hotel- good value, small but very clean rooms; good service, friendly staff.

The reception staff were good, we prdered a car to the airport at 6:00 am which didnt turn up until 6:20 and we had some delays and cut check in pretty fine.

Gracious service began in the breakfast terrace room to start the day off on a solid footing and it traveled down to the lobby where smiles sent us on our way every morning and greeted us late at night upon our return.

There is also a computer in the hotel lobby with free internet.

Free use of the lobby computer with Internet so we could check mail and even trip advisor.

They had thoughtfully provided free wireless internet access which was great.

The rooms were clean, fresh and cosy and the roof terrace.

The rooms are very basic European hotel rooms, but very clean.

The bathroom was small, but also very clean and the shower felt really nice after long, hot days exploring Istanbul.

The rooms are large and comfortable and extremely clean.

The internet was easily accessible, the room was perfectly clean every day, the breakfast was good and the view from the terrace was very pretty.
