The Enclave Hotel & Suites

Located on quiet Carrier Drive five minutes walk at the most to I Trolley Stop 19 on International Drive and within easy walking distance of Wet & Wild and a whole host of restaurants, the location was idea.

Close to everthing from pubs restaurants to shopping great location and the pool at the hotel is excellent.

This said We found it great value for money and an excellent location despite the goings on, close to theme parks and good restaurants (TGI's and Chilli's are excellent).

Taxi rate is 6-8 dollars to universal and 14 dollars round-trip.

We were told to get a taxi and they would reinburse us for what they charged us.

Room dusty, mirrors dirty, windows and window sills filthy, bathroom floor had someone else's hair and nails on it, toilet leaked, no towels two days in a row, found a lizard in the bed!

We had a two bedroom, two bath suite and it was horrible, lights didn't work, bathrooms falling apart, empty condom wrapper under the bed.

Our room was a Suite which had a kitchen (with ample appliances), bathroom and large living space with TV, tables, fold away sofa bed, Dining table, chairs, clothes storage and also a large bed.

The family suite has two separtate bedrooms (one kid themed), two bathrooms (one with shower, one with shower/tub), nice size dining/tv area with kitchenette.

We had 2 bedrooms, 1 with bunk beds and a pull out sofa bed in the lounge, 3 TV's so the kids were happy.

The breakfasts in the 'food court' were disappointing, both the continental and the full breakfast options.

Just have your proper breakfast in the appartment or go to one of the many restaurants near by and get a buffet breakfast for $3.

The promised continental breakfast was 2 blueberry muffins an orange and apple and two mini pure orange juices in a box to feed 2 persons (this had to collected from the downstairs restaurant every morning).

Would also recommend the Chilis restaurant to be found on the corner of Carrier Drive and International Drive, good food, kids meals and good value.

Recommend Great Western or Ponderosa for breakfast as kids under 5 eat free.

The reception area was shabby the staff were helpful and courteous, the best thing about the hotel was the 24hour indoor pool, the maid service was excellent.

Reception staff were lovely & the free shuttle bus service was good.

The reception staff were always helpful- they booked taxis, gave maps with directions and even re-arranged dinner reservations when our taxi arrived late.

The only problems occured on her days off when I had to notify reception that we had had no maid service at all.

The faciliities were good, the gym had standard gym equipment and we swam every day in both the outdoor and indoor pools, and when they said the pool was heated they really did mean heated and the Jacuzzi was so warm you could fall asleep in it.

There are 3 swimming pools of which 2 are heated and the indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi also has a Gym, showers and changing facilities etc.

There is one good sized outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, and a small indoor one.

The room - while being a bit dated- was clean and tidy and we later discovered, was in a fantastic location for getting out and about.

We were given a room on the 7th floor of building 3 which is the closest building to I-Drive, the corridor and lifts smelt fresh and clean.

We always came back to a clean tidy room.

The room was always clean & tidy did show a few small signs of ware eg: the bottom of the fridge was a bit rusty, the cooking facilities were very basic but we never used them anyway.

However, the Enclave Suites are not clean, they are not tidy and they are not secure.
