  A good location and quiet hotel. Really nice interior downstairs and helpful staff. The clean room and very pleasant conservatory/bar.

  Difficult to park, a la carte closed Sunday --cheapest house wine for a self service buffet--£13.95 and had to have continental breakfast. The pool is looking very old now.

  Central and pleasant location, the hotel was good. Staff were helpful and room was very comfortable & clean. Food was excellent, swimming pool was lovely - reasonably sized.

  Location ideal for proximity to my destinations, excellent value and the staff looked after us very well. Room very clean, the free swimming pool / jacuzzi was really good and breakfast was lovely on first morning.

  Central location, the atmosphere within the hotel was nice and the staff were very polite and efficient. The beds were comfortable, the food served was very good value and small swimming pool did not look inviting.

  Perfect front promenade location was perfect and as we have stayed in 4 star hotels were not up to the standard that we received in this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, i had an excellent room overlooking the front. Breakfast was good.

  Excellent conservatory area and we hope to return to the Island in the not too distant future. Hotel is clean, the prices during months are too high and the staff are indeed very pleasant. Rooms are comfortable and bar are very smart. The best thing at the empress is the breakfast They catered for every bodies needs 10 out of 10 for that was't the case for other meals, post dinner entertainment rounded off the evening and the friendly receptionist printed our return flight boarding cards.

  Had to leave early due to ferry and pool is very small.

  Ideal for shops and convenient for touring the Island. An extremely comfortable hotel, very nice lobby area and clean and staff very good. Impressive public rooms, i especially liked the piano player and the fact that we could eat both from the bar or from a well stocked restaurant. Facilities are great.

  Very convenient location, ideal for access to Douglas town facilities and i think the Empress proves to be very good value for money. Staff are very helpful and professional, the breakfast menu boasts the famous Isle Of man kippers.

  TV didn't work, the pool is so tiny you wonder they bothered.

  Nicely located on the Promenade, for an excellent restaurant try Tanroagan's on Ridgeway Street and convenient location for our overnight stay in the Isle of Man. At the same time very professional attitude of the staff, the rooms are well equiped and food not bad at all serve a good breakfast.

  The view was good, hotel decor was nice and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom was lovely and early morning continental breakfast was made available as we had to check out very early. The fresh seasonal vegetables were always carrots and the receptionist was extremely pleasant.

  There three items that were abit off putting room 204 was near the boiler house, the pool was a bit small.
