  The Emeraude Lodge d'Espagne is not a fancy hotel, it is two stars, the room was just big enough for the beds, nightable, desk and open closet, with a very utilitarian bathroom as well, (shower, no bath). It was simple, but it was clean, neat, the water was hot, the beds were comfortable. More importantly, the entire staff was wonderful. Whoever was at the reception desk knew of our needs, and made sure to help us, with a big smile.

  Hotels is 2* but its location is very good - everything is near, GrandBulvals are very nice place, there you could have a meal if you are want to eat till 3 a. We have upper-floor room - it was small, but nice if you need only sleap at the hotel.

  Of course the room was not very large, but i think it's typical for such price-level in Paris. As for the bathroom it was simply perfect.

  Instead the staff were terrific and very helpful after we tried our best to stammer out a few french words. The hotel is neat, close to everything - about 20 mins walk to the river and 2 minutes to the Metro (Grande Boulevards). Of course the best part of the hotel was our room - the loft with views over the rooftops of Paris - a wonderful way to wake up each day! Easy to find, neat and tidy and friendly staff - what more do you want for the price!

• Both rooms were small, but neat, comfortable & clean. Hotel location is great on a quiet street, but shops , metro station and restaurants are only few minutes walking distance away.

  Large bathroom with tub(window on shaft) Outside window in main room. Staff falling over themselves to be pleasant. We did not take breakfast, area is lively with cafes and such, but maid service good.

  Reservation made several months before for a room with double bed. Doubles were advertised as coming with bath or shower. We said bath tub required/request street view. Room had tiny bathroom with tiny shower stall.

  Although the hotel may not offer all the luxuries that some of the more upmarket hotel do, we felt that our experience in Paris was made that much more enjoyable by the hospitality shown to us by all the staff at the hotel.

  The staff at the hotel welcomed us with such enthusiasm and after 20 hours in transit we were shown to our loft room on the 5th floor.

  We arrived very late Friday night at this hotel to be greeted with the tiniest room i have ever seen! So my husband in his best French complained and the friendly receptionist after two go's moved us to another room -208 which was much better and there we stayed. Breakfast is good and the place is clean.

  The bi-lingual hotel staff were so friendly and went WAY above and beyond the call of duty in several instances to help us out (especially the hotel manager. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location was more than adequate for any tourist willing to walk two minutes to the metro.

  Rooms of course are small as in every Paris hotel, but it has TV, direct phone line and the best of all it’s close to lots of attractions. For American standards rooms are tiny but beds were good and the room was clean.
