Some people were saying they made up for the overpriced hotel in free drinks!
However, for the price we paid, this was a great hotel in a central location to all the Spring Training Venues.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better.
If this is the original Embassy Suites location as I heard, its time to shut it down since it doesn't meet the standards of any other I've stayed.
There are other hotels in the Phoenix airport area and you'd be well served to stay at most of them.
We left the same day, totally disgusted by the appearance and quality, and booked at the very nice airport Hilton for half the price.
The hotel is older, but the service was great, the bed was comfortable and I couldn't hear a thing outside of my room.
This second room was the one with the so-called bed.
There was a pall of shabbiness (painted big girl-room furniture in bedroom--puh-leeeeease) not brightened by the dim lighting.
The bed was great, the complimentary made-to-order breakfast was good.
The front desk staff were helpful and kind, the bed was comfortable.
Because of that, we ate one meal at the on-site restaurant which turned out to be acceptable.
