  The Good – Room was very large, which was great for our family of three. The breakfast was nice with lots of choices. Thought the Embassy suites would have been nice since it was part of the Hilton chain.

  The Bad – Room was very outdated with velour upholstery and black lacquer d? More modern hotels with suites have kitchenettes which would have been more appropriate.

• Me and four of my friends arrived at the hotel where we got checked in by a friendly staff and were on our way with our room keys in 2 minutes. Add the extra pull out bed and we were set, nobody on the floor tonight! The drinks were great, the bartender friendly and a hottie besides! Later on I needed some extra pillows so I called the hotel operator and they had them to my room almost before I hung up. Then as an added bonus, we all got an excellent free breakfast in the morning. Great rooms, great freebies, great service!

  Great location can walk to the dome for ballgames and it's an easy walk to Downtown for shopping and restaurants.

  $20 a night for weekend parking seemed like a lot.

  Staff was friendly and helpful. Made to order breakfast was great; the omelet chef was extremely friendly and efficient. Had a great stay.

  I stayed at the Embassy Suites in downtown Minneapolis for 5 days in mid-May and it was exceptional. The staff was more than accommodating and cheeful. The rooms are comfortable (all suites) and a home cooked breakfast is served every morning with a great selection. The location of the hotel is excellent and they have a shuttle that will take you most anywhere on a complimentary basis. Every Tuesday evening, the shuttle goes to the Mall of America.

  I've stayed in Super 8 motels that had nicer rooms.

  Just spent 2 night at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Minneapolis. To say that they need to remodel the rooms is an understatement. Stained, warn carpet, horrible beds and sheets, 70's pink tile with moldy grout in the bathrooms, bedroom TV that did not work. I'm surprised to see that this hotel still carries the Embassy Suites name.

  At that point, I talked to the manager who said that he would discuss with his staff that they needed to be more honest and at least admit that there is a chance that their car and valuables might be unsafe in the city-owned parking ramp they recommended to their guests. Breakfast was great and rooms had tons of mirrors for a couple of women to stay and get ready in the mornings.

  At the front desk, they acted uninterested and faked surprise. When I called the front desk a few days later, I asked them if they had a parking ramp attached, and if it was safe.

• My children and I stayed here for 1 night - I wanted a hotel that was close to the Metrodome; having stayed in other Embassy Suites that have been quite nice, I gave this a try.

  Not only was the room outdated, but it was run-down (holes in the arms of the chair and couch), dirty (hair on the bathroom floor; in the tub), and without the basic amenities (we had no soap and I had to track down a housekeeper to find some for us).

  We were in room 325, a non-smoking corner suite. The made to order breakfast in the morning was good. The location of the hotel was perfect for us.

  I contacted Hilton and the assistant manager called me to address some of my concerns. The room did not smell of smoke, nor was it noisy. And the evening Mgr's reception was enjoyable.

• Where else can you get a suite that sleeps 6, breakfast for all 6 and a great full american breakfast I may add, and drinks and appetizers in teh evening for less than $150 a night?
