Embassy Suites Cleveland - Downtown - 克里夫兰

The hotel location is on the edge of downtown Cleveland which is close to Playhouse Square, but a bit of a walk (or short cab ride) to other attractions like the Warehouse District, Tower City, the Rock Hall, etc.

Pros - Great location, brand new large suite, nightly cocktail party, cooked to order breakfast.

My husband and I and our three sons decided to stay at this property because of its location to Progressive Field (formerly Jacob's Field) and our past experiences at other Embassy Suites.

My husband ran next door to Subway to get us some food to enjoy with the drinks.

I got to the hotel (from the airport) at midnight and the guy at the desk on the ground floor made no effort to help me bring my bags in.

The front desk staff raved about the new "comfort select" beds in the remodeled rooms and when we got to the room, we looked at each other and said, are you sure that's not a twin sized bed?

There were TWO LG 40" HDTV's in the room (which my kids loved) a small kitchen area, a large living room with pull-out sofa, a medium sized bathroom & a large bedroom with 2 double beds.

While the living room was the size of a boardroom, the bedroom was a tiny 10 x 10 room and the nightstand wasn't even actually next to the bed - because the bed was pushed inside a "nook" and the nightstand was a good three feet away.

The rooms are large, clean and comfortable - new furniture, remodeled bathrooms and offer all the amenities that one expects from Embassy Suites.

The suite was spacious and the king bed was very comfortable.

A library adjoins the lobby and the bar/atrium/restaurant/breakfast rooms.

High ceilings, and dark cherry wood walls & black toned bar area and the breakfast room & restaurant along with the business center and meeting rooms.

The complimentary breakfast was good, and our small children had no trouble finding something they liked to eat in the hotel restaurant--and the restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate them.

The breakfasts were also good - omelettes made to order and the usual hot and cold breakfast items.

I stayed over a Sunday night and the free shuttle took us to a restaurant in the Warehouse Section,picked us up in less than five minutes after calling the Hotel and then dropped us off at a bar in Tower City.

I tried every number on the auto dial (bell desk, Front desk, Concierge (ha ha ha ha), room service, general manager, suites service, emergency, restaurant and none of them worked.

We wish that the manager's reception was held in a friendlier area separate from the bar and that it was bartended instead by any of their many friendly staff members.

Manager's reception was a joke - no snax no service.

Wait service on Saturday evening was extremely slow, the maid never refilled the coffee supply in our room, the "made to order" breakfast was really a buffet, and the staff was very uninformed about parking rates in the attached garage.

The "elevator lobby" was also very cramped and the elevators were very slow on Monday morning.

Unfortunately, the pool, jacuzzi and fitness center were to be closed the entire week with no prior notification to new guests.

The pool/spa and fitness areas are very nice, and the attendant was very pleasant.

The picture was crystal clear in both rooms.

The breakfast each morning was top notch and the room was clean/neat.

Our suites at the Embassy Suites were large and clean and comfortably accommodated "the mob.

Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

The rooms were large and clean with all the amenities we needed.
