Elysium Hotel Paphos - パ フォス

Anyway in terms of location as long as you enjoy a calm walk for about 25 minutes i would say the hotel is ideally located away from the touristy harbour.

The hotel is located fairly centrally between Kato Pafos and Pafos Town (about 1/2hr brisk walk to each location from the hotel).

The location ofthe hotel between the Tomb of the Kings and the Mosiacs is great for the sightseer.

Located at far end of town a bus, taxi or good 30 min walk to centre, but taxis are cheap and bus service every 20mins.

The hotel arranged a taxi to meet us from the airport and all went smoothly with our driver there on time to whisk us to the hotel.

The room itself was lovely, decorated with fresh flowers, rose petals on the bed and in the bath, a bottle of wine and fresh fruit.

Our room was pool and sea view facing which had a larger than usual balcony, this too was to a high standard of furniture, decor and we had a queen size bed which made a refreshing change from the usual twin beds you normally find abroad.

The rooms are great, with a huge bed (altough they are two beds pushed together), mini bar, Aveda hair products, slippers and dressing gowns.

We returned to our room on the night of the wedding to find red roses on our bed, a bottle of champagne on ice, a tray with strawberry's,melted chocolate and cream and rose petals scattered in the bath.

Upstairs was a bedroom with a bathroom, and downstairs was a seating area/single bed and a larger bathroom.

The pool bar offered a couple of options, otherwise it was the Medittareano restaurant which always seemed quite busy but we got by and after the breakfast buffets (with the very friendly egg chef) you really didn't want a lot at lunchtime anyway.

I also was very happy with the food, both in breakfast and lunch buffets of the main restaurant.

Virtually nobody ate in the restaurant which was expensive compared to good external restaurants.

Restaurants I can recommend include Artio Brasserie (amazing service and food, similar price to The Elysium), the Almond Tree, Grazie (Italian), Thisby (Chinese) and the Windmill (for a family-run restaurant serving excellent Meze).

I met with the customer relations officer, Julia, a very good lady that took me to see all hotels restaurants (5 in total) and selected the most romantic, and award winning as best restaurant in cyprus Cava fine dining.

The welcoming drink and service received from the reception staff & hotel porter on arrival were appreciated after a long trip.

Staff were attentive and the service standard of the rooms was excellent.

Great service / staff superb with children.

The hotel is beautifully designed and the staff and service is A1 and comes with a smile.

As the weather was so poor we made good use of the indoor pool and gym.

Each room has a small private plunge pool, the food is excellent and the spa is total luxury.

There is a big pool outside with massage pool in the centre, a smaller kiddies pool, a private pool for those in the megaron (which was kiddie free and very quiet - perfect), and an indoor pool with jacuzzi.

Chambermaids were good and always left the rooms clean and tidy and replenished everything.

Rooms and all surrounding areas were well cared for and very clean.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, and well looked after.

Having said that the room was good, nicely furnished & very clean.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable.
