This resort has a calm location with attractive grounds, an amazing beach, exquisite service, and very good dining options. There are antiques in the common rooms and Cretan fabrics in them. Some cottages have their own private pools.

Overview

Located near the city center, the five-star Elounda Mare Hotel is situated in close direction from the city of Aghios Nikolaos (St.Nicholas), Ancient Lato and the Kritsa canyon.

Renovated in 2008, the hotel is built in a traditional Cretan architecture and interior design.

All 82 guest rooms, including twin/double rooms and suites, as well as bungalow Suites, bungalow and deluxe maisonettes, feature a balcony and magnificent mountain views.

The hotel has seven restaurants and five bars, offering dished of Italian and international cuisine.

For its business guests the hotel offers fax/photocopying equipment as well as secretarial service.

The hotel’s private beach with the tennis courts, golf course and private pools in some cottages are available for the guests of the hotel.

The hotel staff speaks English, Deutch, French, Spanish, Italiano.

Bungalows are divided into the following categories:

1. Bungalows with a private heated swimming pool and front sea view, which include:

“Deluxe” with en-suite marble bathroom, open fireplace as well as a furnished private small garden/sun terrace and private sea water swimming pool.

“Superior” with wonderful view to the sea.

“Two- or Three- Bedroom Suites” with en-suite bathroom and open fireplace, private furnished small garden/sun terrace and private seawater swimming pool.

2. Presidential suites with private heated swimming pool and front sea view, which come with en-suite marble bathroom, spacious living room, open fireplace, private furnished garden/sun terrace.

All children under one year old may stay at the hotel for EUR20 per night/person for each baby cot.

Maximum one baby cot is available in each room.

The stay itself was great, the reception staff were very warm and friendly, the room we stayed in was lovely.
The breakfasts were superb and the private pool was luxurious.
The suite was huge and evening meals at the Deck restaurant were also excellent.

Iraklion International Airport is in 66.5km

From the airport:

Head west on Aerodromiou toward Leoforos Ikarou, continue onto Leoforos G. Senetaki, then keep left at the fork and merge onto Route 90/E75 and turn left onto Ethniki Odos Lasithiou/Route 90/E75. After that turn right to stay on Ethniki Odos Lasithiou/ Route 90/E75 and in 29.8km turn left onto Palaia Ethniki Odos Lasithiou, turn right onto Agiou Nikolaou-Elountas. In 4.2km turn right, then left in 350m and finally slight right in 77m. The hotel will be on the right.

Seaside area are great and the roads are better than in the US. This place is amazing and the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The pool water is salt and there is an indoor and outdoor pool, the food is good, the Spa is one of the best I have been too.

Location is great and the private beach is lovely and a pre breakfast swim in Mirabello Bay is a must. This hotel is amazing and the staff as well as the owners are caring and attentive. Bathrooms are elegant, the gardens themselves are beautiful and a delight to wander around.

Yoga at the six senses spa was a fantastic start to the day overlloking the bay, the view from our bungalow was beyond glorious and the town had had the best of all the things we enjoyed from all the other places. The service was perfect and the suite was huge. Our refrigerator was also barely functioning and had to be repaired as well, also the pizza for lunch at Porto Rino was delicious, the bungalow pool was great for a dip before bedtime.

The beach bar service there was friendly and super efficient, the stay itself was great. Staff were very accommodating to your needs, the room was just OK and the breakfast was great, good coffee. The private pool was luxurious.

Coffees by the beach/pool were excellent, all in all a most enjoyable stay and the first time I had been to Crete, the spa service and amenities were definitely worth as well. The room was incredible, the breakfasts were superb.

And the best fish in town and great location. Elounda mare hotel was amazing and overall, the service was lovely prompt.

Private beach, heated pool overlooking the sea, gorgeous location, excellent food, and great staff, one of the best hotels in the world. Beautiful service, clean by our ever cheerful maid and lunch fantastic at the Yacht Club right on the water. The spa is at porto Elounda, and is quite a lovely spa.

Totally in, beautiful view and ambiance and a fabulous pianist makes any evening exceptional, fantastic stay, the staff were very attentive and the ambience and facilities great. Pool and can truly say was some of the best accommodation we have experienced.
