We stayed in a superior one bedroom suite with sea view and the room and views were incredible. We were in the main building almost at the top, and had two huge balconies and incredible views. The staff at the front desk were nothing short of magicians in being able to organise anything we could think of at a moment's notice. The breakfast buffet was great and dinner at the various restaurants was also good. The pool is salt water, so you can float in there for hours, and the small private beaches were equally nice to stay in the water or read a book by. The atmosphere was one of seclusion and exclusivity with everything as it should be. Breakfast was absolutely exceptional with a vast variety of food catering for all tastes, prepared fresh in the very efficient kitchens. Eating in the hotel restaurants was equally as good although somewhat pricey, especially the drinks - €29 for a G&T and an Alparel Spritz was rather excessive therefore as we were on bed and breakfast, it allowed us to walk into town most nights where there was an endless choice of local and international restaurants each serving first class food. We never once had a bad meal. Friendly staff, great and fast room service. Clean rooms, pools, water and beach. Variety and tasty food, including in room service, it works from 7:00 to 10:30 for breakfast and then 11:00 - 22:00, but there are some meals available for 24h. Any of the staff is ready to help and resolve an issue with personal approach or find the way to solve it. SPA, restaurants and other services from other neighbouring hotels. There is a free transfer between them. Good location and great views.
Felt extremely safe, no complaints.

Both public/private pools were freezing. Also, I was told by mgmt that a] the pool was heated to 27degrees(and that they double checked it) and b] they only heat the pool in the "off season" - which August clearly is peak season, so this outright contradiction I found to be offensive, and I don't like being lied to like this. This is not 5 star service. After 3 days our pool warmed up some and was finally usable, but we weren't able to use it for half of our trip, which was why we selected this destination to begin with. Also, first 2 days were no service bec they were having a wedding next door and sent all the staff there, so we were with trainees and short staff - not impressed! But did get better/nice exp when pool temp & staff were back

-Very positive and friendly staff (all reception staff/porters, breakfast supervisor, reatsurant manager Antonis and pool bar attendant Manolis in particular); -quality and tasteful food (Old Mill was real positive surprise, Yacht Club was always nice); -very green and well- tended territory. Mini-golf, table tennis room was used almost daily by our 9yr old daughter; -real privacy and seclusion created and cherished by both people and nature.
Our room was clean and spacious but it seemed that design ideas overrided functionality and comfort: -bath room has no hooks for towels while shelves are not handy, so you unintentionally scatter yr towels everywhere; -bath cabin's door frame is suitable only for short people, so I hit my head a couple of times against it (I'm 184 cm) - no complaints (survived!), but it happened clearly because of the low door's height; -wifi at reception only + only 4 hrs free - the time for paid wifi is over and EMare should be the comfort zone for ipad and pc users; -we felt that cosy sand beach is somewhat out of EMare concept - it should be equally green, with much more olive trees on its upper level (like over the whole hotel territory); otherwise it looks like any other beach in the area; -water entry is a bit narrow and there was often a feeling of a crowd even with just a few people in the water. Final and most emotional: your famous bench overlooking sea (depicted in all EMare ads, incl. The r&c catalogue) is impossible to use, it's not clean (old leaves, dust, etc), too hard/stony to relax on it, no at least little table for a cup of water and... It's still nice. Can anybody fix it, put some pillows or whatever..? It can become EMare's real window case. NB: all comments above are coming from the devoted R&C customer and should be treated as an open, positively-minded and friendly contribution.

The location is fantastic, with plenty of local bars to explore. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view of the ocean. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel facilities, such as the spa and salt water pool, were top-notch.
The furniture in the room was outdated and could use some updating.

The views were absolutely amazing, and the staff were incredibly helpful and efficient. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food that catered to all tastes, with fresh food cooked on demand. Being close to the beach and having a private pool made it possible to relax without crowds.
The price of drinks was a bit high, which made it difficult to justify buying them at the hotel. Also, the Wi-Fi was spotty which was mildly inconvenient.

The location of the hotel was stunning, with breathtaking views of the sea and its surroundings. , the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, always happy to help with anything we needed. Another great aspect of our stay was the variety of food and drinks available, with a fantastic selection of local and international cuisine.
Our experience was marred by a few negative aspects. The first and most significant problem was the poor cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel, with noticeable wear and tear in several areas, including the furniture and the bathrooms.

The food at Elounda Mare was exceptional, with outstanding cuisine in all their restaurants. I was particularly impressed by the variety and quality of the dishes, and the presentation was exquisite. The hotel's attention to detail in their culinary offerings was truly impressive. The views from the hotel were also breathtaking, with a stunning vista overlooking the sea. The private beach provided the perfect spot for relaxation, and the spacious and quiet villas offered a serene retreat. The staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and accommodating, ensuring that every need was met. The hotel's excellent facilities, including the spa and golf buggy service, added to the overall exceptional experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a restful and enjoyable stay.

This hotel boasts a splendid and restful area that provides a breathtaking view over the sea. It is conveniently located close to many local bars, making it easy to explore the nightlife. The friendly staff provides a professional service, ensuring guests' needs are met. The clean rooms maintain a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with outstanding privacy. Guests can also enjoy the variety and tasty food available, even in-room service works fast and efficiently.
The breakfast needs improvement as it is subpar, and there have been reports of flies around the buffet, but the in-room service provides great options to start your day.
