Getting around.

You can easily get to the hotel either from the North A1 or from the South A1 following sings to York, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit to the A1036, then to the left to Driffield Terrace and the Elmbank Hotel will be there on your left side. Once travelling from York railway station at Micklegate Bar turn right to the A1036 and continue forward to Driffield Terrace where to the left you will see the Elmbank Hotel.

  Location was good for access to race course, the hotel was well sited for our needs and staff were helpful. The shower was luke warm.

  Good location between the racecourse and The City Walls, great Hotel. Staff friendly and attentive, modern bathroom.

  For the price we expected muchmore, wooden Toilet seat was broken and service was poor waited half an hour for tea and coffee.

  Location was good as did not take us more than 15 minutes to walk into town, the hotel was clean and the staff were plesent, for the price I would say the room was adequate.
