Nice location, right on the river walk. The room was clean with a comfortable king-size bed. The breakfast was good.

For our stay in July 2012, the location and the good price we got on the Riverwalk was very good. The hotel is old and every effort hasb been made to upgrade it. It was a nice room all in all. I am happy and enjoyed it.

The parking lot. There was parking but it was small, cramped, hard to find a spot, had to wait for someone to leave to get their space, had to squeeze in unmarked spots that were way too little and had to share the lot with all kind of police cars. The a/c was loud and you either had it on or off.

Very small room. Barely walking room around bed. Only 1 chair. Though Riverwalk has been extended out to El Tropicano, we had expected to be on downtown Riverwalk, not 2 miles away.

The staff was very friendly! And very helpful! I liked that it was in a quiet area, yet a short trolley ride from all the action. Everyday I purchased a trolley pass from the front desk & took a taxi back in the evening. The staff had menu's for most of the nearby restaurants. There are a few places to eat within walking distance. They have 2 bars(which are very reasonably priced), one in the lobby & one by the pool. At night they have a fire by the pool & bar for the children to make smores. Even though it was the middle of summer the fire was mesmerizing and beautiful to sit by. The pool is beautiful at night! I recommend getting a room with a balcony. Mine was on the second floor which went out to the pool-very nice.I Loved the Toucan which sang to us every morning as we sat outside our room. There is arboretum which has a tortoise, an iguana and a Toucan. There are Koi around the back that leads to a laundry room. It's the staff that makes the Hotel exceptional, everyone is so nice & helpful!!! I have to say it's the nicest staff of anywhere that I have stayed, at any hotel. It is an older Hotel, but the a/c worked great!!! I would recommend this Hotel & would stay there again. It was a great value for the money! The RiverWalk, Downtown, The RiverCenter Mall, The Alamo & The Mexican Market Place are all convenient Trolley rides from the Hotel. At night you can even ride in a Horse-drawn lighted Cinderella Coach. There are many modes of transportation available that come right to the Hotel. It is also very safe place to stay. Although I didn't eat there, I did have some of their coffee, it is their own brand and was pretty good. The Taxi ride from the airport to the Hotel is around $28, which is cheaper than the Airport Shuttle if you have more than 1 person as the shuttle is $18 per person. The Taxi didn't charge per person.

I wish they had a real restaurant. They have a Deli with premade items (Sandwiches & Salads, Yogurt, Fruit & Juices). The breakfast(about $10 I think) was not to my liking. It is a Smorgasbord/Buffet but didn't look appealing to me.I Ate downtown & the Riverwalk. There are restaurants within walking distance.Do not stay next to the Fitness Room, The guys kept dropping weights, I called the front desk & they made them stop. But it was extremely annoying!!!

      The design of the Lobby.

The staff was not that nice, they did not even tell us about the ammenities or ask if we would like help with our luggage. They did not even direct us to the elevator or show us in the direction our room was. We basically had to learn everything on our own. Considering the Riverwalk is why people go to San Antonio they didn't even bring up the Riverwalk. We also do not like the fact that they said they were on the River walk but yet you have to drive to get to any restraunts or shops and pay $10 or more to park. They also charge $18.00 a night for parking in their hotel!! That is ridiculous. Our hotel bath tub started leaking black stuff and maintenance took forever to come fix it so we left our room after getting tired of waiting. It was fixed when we got back late that night. The A/C worked perfect during the day but did not work good at night. We were sweating.!! It was actually a very gloomy room that seemed a bit scary. The experience was terrible and we will not be going back to that hotel or to San Antonio.

      The price

Nothing the staff was very rude we we're not greeted once we would have to speak to the staff first. The room was moldy smelling very small and the sheets were moist feeling almost wet. We stayed 3 nights were gone all day and our room was only cleaned once. Also the parking prices were ridiculous.

Was not happy that we had to wait 1hr 1/2 for our room!!! And the fact that the staff kept telling us our rm shld be rdy in about 10min, every 10 min!! And then to find out they gave our room to someone else!!! And it's too far from the part of the Riverwalk we wanted to be near.

We were disappointed to say the least. When we booked, it was indicated that our room will have a king size bed and at no time did we request a handicapped access room. Our room was comfortable enough. However, designed for weelchair access. The shower did not have a counter to place toiletries or other items and the shower was hazardous for normal persons, tile floors were slipery as we stod to shower. The hotel did not provide an information pamphlet or instructions to show was was abailable or the location of services and activities. The complimentary balcony had a tremendous view of the roof below. The bed was just quinn size.

Thank you for the complimentary drinks at the bar. We enjoyed San Antonio non the less.

The hotel was very clean! When we first arrived we had a guy that was very rude and after that we had a guy that was very nice and helped us out. The walk is far but def worth it! Such a great pretty walk.

Check in was at 4pm and we arrived a little after 5 and they still didnt have a room ready for us. The guy that helped was completely rude and didnt offer anything for us while we had to wait. An hour past and room still wasnt ready so another guy helped us out and offered us free drinks. Finally got our room and after that if we needed anything we went to the second guy that helped us. When we checked out he also helped us and didnt charge us for parking. I would stay at this hotel again because it was a great hotel, and pricing. It is about a 20 min walk from the main area but the walk was sooo pretty!

I really liked the location. The hotel is located on the quieter end of the riverwalk. It is close enough to walk to all of the tourist destinations but far enough removed to be quiet and relaxing.

The hotel staff was not equipped to accomodate the hotel guests for the breakfast buffet. There wer long lines while there were open tables or tables waiting to be bussed. Much of the time there were more tables not being used than there were being used, while the line of people grew longer and longer.

Nice Hotel, clean rooms, and great staff. Would stay there again!

Read on the Web site that breakfast was included with price, found out when we got there that since we booked thru Booked.net and got the room at a reduced rate, breakfast was not free, it was 10$ per person. Got pretty expensive with 5 people in our family every morning! (An extra 300$ for the week I didnt plan in our budget). Will ask more questions next time!
