El Tapatio Hotel & Resort Guadalajara - 瓜达拉哈拉

I located a "MapQuest" location on several hotel reservation sites but do not depend on those, I repeat, do not depend on those locations as the are wrong.

Our first location did not have a great view; we requested and got another room with an excellent view.

The location is great unless you'd prefer to be within walking distance of anything.

It is extremely convenient to the airport and the new bus terminal, and the staff is very accommodating.

Beautiful garden surroundings, helpful in taxi and the hotel itself was amazing.

Rooms: We had a room with two queen beds.

If you are travelling with two rooms worth of people, get adjoining rooms with a cute little passageway along the porch side of the room.

The rooms are large and classically decorated.

Every time we went to the bathroom, there would be a new pool of water on the floor.

The A/C didn't work well enough to cool the room down, but fortunately the weather was cool enough at night to leave the windows open.

They also have a small sundries shop, though I wish they'd had sodas/juices for sale there - if you haven't brought your own, you have no choice but to call room service or go to the bar/restaurants.

The food at the restaurant is pricey compared to going into town, but don't miss the breakfast buffet - for about $9US per person, the food is fresh and you can get eggs as you like them.

It's a hotel, and it has a pool (not heated from what I could tell) in need of cleaning, a gym (sorry - I didn't even look at it), as well as a restaurant and bar.

RESTAURANTS: We ate at the one near the lobby.

The restaurants were sure to please the most discriminating palete, with an offering next to none.

If you catch the desk staff when a manager is right there, you get good service, however later in the evening, the front desk staff become quite uncaring.

The grounds were beautiful, the view was outstanding, and the level of service provided by the staff was as good as I have ever experienced.

The restaurant is great and so is the swimming pool, the views are panoramic, the employees are very courteous and the services are excellent.

The air conditioning was adequate, and the maid service was excellent.

It has a beautifull garden,well kept,a pool with with bar and bandstand,three restaurants,gim,spa,etc.

Water in the swimming pool very dirty and green (we did not dare to go in).

The pool is terrific, and the people are marvelous.

The room did not feel clean at all and found a huge spider behind the curtains.

ROOM: Ours was spacious and clean, but definitely worn and old.
