Hopefully the Iraqi owners will invest some money in this once grand hotel -Matisse is rumoured to have been a former guest,and restore its former glory.
A good town-centre location, of Spain in the distance was fantastic and hotel had a lovely old fashioned moroccan feel.
The location is good, no doubt the most iconic & truly Moroccan hotel in Tanger and the bathrooms have been updated.
The location is great, the place to stay for a wonderful visit to Tanger and breakfast is served in a lovely interior courtyard.
The location is great, right above the Grand Socco and the entrance to the medina.
The bus did take that direction the morning we left to cross over to Spain again.
Room, bed and bathroom facilities, comfortable.
The staff were very attentive and bed were lovely.
However, the air conditioning was dodgy, the lift hardly worked, there was inadequate lighting in the dining room and the wall decorations were faded and musty.
The staff more than helpful and courteous, comfy beds.
The staff are amazing and rooms are spacious.
We had the evening meal and breakfast at the hotel and although part of the tour package, we found the food good and above average.
Waiters etc etc etc - we ate a superb breakfast every morning.
We had dinner in the hotel in the Arabic restaurant where bellydancers perform while we ate dinner!
Comfortable rooms and the Moroccan restaurant food was AMAZING.
Also the staff are pretty friendly, the international restaurant rank as some of the best in Tangier and the pool there is fantastic.
I stayed for two nights, and found myself in the grips of the tyranical staff who run the reception, treating clients like newcomers at boot-camp.
During our stay, we also witnessed the hotel's concierge staff encouraging guests to take tours from a "city guide" who repeatedly tried to sell us drugs on the street.
Before making this booking I took a deep breath and prayed that the less that polite service had improved.
A huge spa/fitness centre and this will be a great place that can clearly compete.
We were not advised that the pool and sauna would be unavailable during our visit.
Tranquil terrace for having a drink, enjoying daily swims in the fabulous pool.
This checking his software telling the online time of the guest which is by the way as bad as their entire wireless network ;-).
Very clean rooms and bar staff efficient.
The service was amazing and the rooms were also clean.
The rooms are OK, clean, but in need of updating.
Our rooms were very clean & we had asked for a sea view & I must admit that the view at night is especially enchanting.
