El Cozumeleno Beach Resort All Inclusive Cozumel

The location is great, great rooms, beautiful views, great pools, close to town, good atmosphere, nice staff, great water, but there are low points.

Overall, I would return to El Coz for its location and that is why I rated it above average, but they could definately use some help in the food and beverage department.

The location of the resort is great because it is far enough from the hustle of town and the cruise ships, but close enough that the cab fare was $7 for 4 people each way.

It is a bit confusing when you get your taxi tickets at the airport because there are a bunch of groups with Fun Jet and other travel agencies waiting for their bus to pick them up.

Buy your own tickets for transportation/van from the airport, there are no regulars taxis to take you.

We had 2 connecting rooms in the newer tower- one with a king bed and queen sofa sleeper and the other room had 2 double beds.

The room was excellent, with a great view, big bed, clean floors and bathrooms, and satellite TV.

The hotel rooms in the old wing are VERY large with two double beds and two singles forming an L that can be pulled together to form one bed.

When we arrived, they had us in a Garden view room, with a set of twin beds, but moved us to a 3rd story Ocean view that had a king bed for no extra charge!

We stayed in the original tower and the rooms are spacious and very clean the beds are hard,but I did not mind I like a hard bed.

A decent meal could be had at the main restaurant at dinner and the omelet bar was decent for breakfast.

They very politely stored our luggage and we walked straight over to the bar and got a nice cold drink & then walked directly into the restaurant and ate a very nice buffet lunch while looking over the caribbean.

The food - Omelets for breakfast, fajitas for lunch and usually reservations at the restaurant for dinner.

We ate breakfast and dinner in the outside diningroom and the bar area for lunch.

As long as you like Mexican food then you will enjoy the lunch because there is always fresh salsa and guacamole at both the restaurant and snack bar.

The wait staff was great and they provided excellent service from the waiters to the bartenders to the front desk the door man and so on.

The staff outside the hotel trys hard, but the front desk and mangement is awlful with little regard to customer service.

But, the front desk staff need some customer service training on friendliness and smiles.

You can lounge at the pool yet keep an eye on them; the Kids' Club is in the building off to the side next to the *small* gym and dive shop.

But they keep a pool bar open until 10 and the lobby bar is quite nice.

Other than a little sand in the quiet pool due to the scuba lesson, the pools & jacuzzi’s looked & smelled clean.

There was no wireless internet available at El Coz.

The town was very nice and relaxed, i snorkled in the clear water till the sun told me to stop, the hotel had the nerve to charge us $65/day to clean the rest room.

Clean - well everywhere in this hotel is clean and spotless (including the public bathrooms at the pool area).

The hotel room was always clean with a fresh smell.

Our room was neat and clean as well as spacious.
