The hotel’s own website offers some really great rates; it is definitely a good value for the money!

You can book all your day trips from the hotel, as you can in the town, all more or less the same prices.

This hotel was overpriced and staff was rude.

Better to save money for activities than on a hotel room, I regret staying there.

The best thing about this place is the location - it's very centrally located in Queenstown and so is convenient for the shops, bars and restaurants, while being set on one of the quieter streets so you don't get too much noise.

The Novotel Gardens is centrally located - everything was within walking distance - it's the most convenient location in Queenstown.

I have stayed at this hotel in Queenstown several times, always going back because of its excellent location, on the lake front and very close to the centre of the town.

It has valet parking and also ample taxi's to take you anywhere you want to go.

Being centrally situated near the lake everything was totally accessible by foot and there was no need to use the car at all during our stay.

My room was fine, with a small balcony, cable TV, a desk, minibar, and a clothes line in the bathroom.

That said the room was spacious with a chaise to lounge on instead of just either a chair or the bed.

Would happily stay here again, but to be honest would probably prefer a nicer 2 bedroom apartment rather than 2 rooms for the same amount of money.

Our rooms were unfortunately on that side and we had to chose between a very hot unventilated room, or open windows and suffer noise of cars and people at all hours.

The room was modern and of a really good size, with a compact bathroom, but it worked well.

We did not take advantage of the restaurant or bar, but that had more to do with the fantastic location, within a seconds walk to the waterfront, or a large selection of bars, food and shopping.

The staff in the restaurant, which admittedly, we only used for breakfast, were always friendly and the buffet was well-stocked.

The restaurant was very busy at breakfast time and the breakfast was overcooked.

Breakfast was fairly standard, with continental and express breakfasts available.

The public areas are spacious and the bar and restaurant pleasant.

Reception and concierge staff were excellent.

Concierge services outstanding, with staff going out of their way to help.

Upon our arrival, a concierge and staff member with spiked hair tried to make us as comfortable as possible.

The staff were all friendly and the service was good.

The notel does not have a pool, but does have a spa which can comfortably hold about 8 people.

There is a charge for valet parking and the lobby is quite small but there is a nice restaurant above the lobby.

Valet parking is provided but there is ample car parking around and I would not bother with the valet parking during weekends.

My room was small although clean and tidy with a balcony that overlooked the hotel green and a slight view of the waterfront.

The rooms are very nice and clean and are serviced on a daily basis.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean.

Our room was clean and sufficiently spacious.

Our room was clean and basic - could do with a makeover as it needed updated.

And to top it all of, the rooms and lobby are not pleasant, friendly or inviting.

Noone knows anything, no concierge, no service. Rooms were also horrible, we had one in which the shower was not enclosed, the water was not draining at all. We got moved to a different room only to be miserably hot. We were then told that only the 4th floor was air-conditioned and we were on the second floor.

Most of the rooms do not have a view of the lake, and I'm sure the hotel is less expensive because of this. Breakfast buffet (included) was about average.

The best thing about this place is the location - it's very centrally located in Queenstown and so is convenient for the shops, bars and restaurants, while being set on one of the quieter streets so you don't get too much noise. The reception staff were efficient and helpful. My room was fine, with a small balcony, cable TV, a desk, minibar, and a clothes line in the bathroom.

There's no free car parking at the hotel. Instead, you have to use their valet parking service which costs a small amount per day (can't remember how much, I'm afraid) and request your car from reception when you want it. There doesn't appear to be any alternative to this, as on-street parking near the hotel is metered and limited to short periods. Overall, the hotel was fine and superbly located; but I couldn't quite shake the feeling that it was a bit overpriced for what it was, and I could have been just as comfortable staying in a cheaper motel.

With a great location on the edge of town and facing the lake, this hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Our room overlooked the hotel's rose garden and from the balcony there were lake and mountain views. The room had bright modern decor and was very clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant served good food and when we were there they had a great offer of selected dishes from the a la carte menu and a bottle of wine for $43 per person. There's no public car park, but the valet parking at $10 per day is probably worth it, as Queenstown's streets can get busy at times.

My room was small although clean and tidy with a balcony that overlooked the hotel green and a slight view of the waterfront. Staff were friendly although I got the impression there weren’t enough of them to cope with the occupancy levels.

No room safe or air-conditioning and it was particularly annoying to see the new top floor rooms added recently all had air-conditioning units incorporated whilst the rest of the floors had none!

The location is fantastic - almost sublime - with the lake, a rose garden and shopping strolls all at your door. The breakfast was included in my value room rate.

The Novotel is a great business hotel - newly remodeled rooms with flat screen tv, warm colors, very comfortable, couldn't be better. Make sure the computer in the bar is set for "happy hour" before you order your drink!

The staff were all friendly and the service was good. The restaurant was nice and served good food! Our room was lovely, we had a balcony with seating area over looking the gardens and lake. The room was modern and of a really good size, with a compact bathroom, but it worked well. It has valet parking and also ample taxi's to take you anywhere you want to go.

We booked the room from the ACCOR website and received an excellent rate. It was a good size with plenty of room for a couple. The hotel was undergoing renovations but this did not disturb our stay in anyway and no noise was heard from our room.
