Edgewater Resort & Waterpark

GREAT location and 11,2006 Best Western Edgewater Duluth.

This hotel has two locations to it - the building that has the waterpark and the Express, which is located across the street.

When you stay at the Express location, you check in at the other location.

Do yourself a favor and stay near Miller Hill or the airport and drive down to the lake if you can't afford to stay in Canal Park.

I phoned the motel and explained that my daughter was having surgery on her foot and requested bottom floor.

It had a king bed, a set of bunk beds, table with chairs, and a bathroom on one side.

We had a king bed on one side of room and 2 sets of bunk beds on the other side of room.

We were going to pay $170 for a 2 bed room with lakeview, then they had a weekend special for $120 so we did get that rate.

The bathroom was average in size, having the large vanity and sink separated from the tub and toilet.

It took THREE times for them to find us a room, first was already occupied (I met roughly 6 -8 people with the same problem), the second was only one bed.

The breakfast area was a MESS, food and pretzels laid all over the floor from the night before (which is a bar at night) and the breakfast bar was a mess as well cereal was spilled all over.

The staff was mainly friendly, the outside hot tub was very enjoyable right next to the outside pool and the breakfast bar was a mess as well cereal was spilled all over.

They also had a minimal lounge in the breakfast area.

Breakfast was very nice with a larger selection than we expected and served in a nicely appointed lounge area with a view of the lake.

They provide breakfast that is adequate, but we got hassled by the attendant because we needed to bring a tray up to the room for another member of our party, and apparently bringing food out of the breakfast room wasn't looked upon favorably.

The rates didn't go up too much and the service from the staff is amazing.

Booking staff, Front desk and Lifeguards are not all on the.

Staff need some customer service training.

Furthermore our value was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the managers evening happy hour was also good.

The pool was wonderful, the sauna was the same good old sauna.

Our room was very clean, outdoor jacuzzi on the first night was filled over the capacity and waits for slow elevators were long.

Then there are two wings from the lobby with a big parking lot.

This time we had a room close to the pool, which was clean and tidy - no issues.

Staff were pleasant and the room was clean.

The room was clean with modern amenities.

The bathroom appeared clean, outdoor pool.

The rooms appeared to be fairly clean and free breakfast does not mean a good breakfast.
