Eden Roc Suites Positano - 波西塔諾

As far as location, the Eden Roc is located fairly far down the main road in Positano, which has its pros and cons.

The location is easily accessible to the beach and shops and the bus stops close to the hotel so getting around is easy.

We enjoyed the view, location (not to far or too close to the beach--too close would not give you a full view of the ocean), service, accomodations (ie.

Bite the bullet and have the hotel set up to pick you up at the Naples train station or airport.

We attempted to take the local train/bus from Naples to Sorrento to then be picked up by a taxi closer to Positano, and there was a train strike.

Our room had everything,sat-television,SKY, a large antic bed and a beautiful mediterranean bathroom with a steam bath and hydromassage bath.

We were in a Junior Suite (Room 416 - request it if staying in that type of room) and we had a large bed, large bathroom with jacuzzi and shower, a large balcony overlooking the harbour and sea and a separate living area.

The room was superb, with a gorgeous bathroom and luxurious bedroom suite.

This was their basic room, the room itself was smallish but the bed very conforable and the bathroom nice.

We had a beautiful junior suite with tiled floors, ample room, lovely and simple decor, and a huge bathroom with two sinks and a jacuzzi tub.

As if that is not already enough, the hotel's American bar and restaurant serves delicious local cuisine and fantastic local wines.

The food offered in the "American Bar," on the rooftop solarium or en suite was very good and the included breakfast (croissants, cheese, meats, eggs, coffee, juices, pastries, etc.

Indeed, the food in the restaurant proved to be the best of all the restaurants that we tried in Positano, and at the most reasonable price, relatively speaking.

One low point is the food in Positano, we were all looking forward to some real authentic Italian Cuisine but surprisingly the food on offer (we tried 6 different restaurants) was no better than the Italian food that we get served back home.

They also have a restaurant in the hotel which was nice but not amazing as there are a lot of places to eat especially down at the beach (about 10 minutes walk away using steps) but the guy in the bar was very helpful and nice.

Everyone we met from reception to breakfast staff to cleaning staff and all the waiters were so accommodating and professional.

The entire staff from owner, to son, to front office, to maid service could not do more to help us out.

Hotel staff helpful and professional, service was excellent, the room was beautiful.

ALL members of the staff were extraordinary in their attentiveness and service.

Suite which does not have a huge jacuzzi pool on the terrace and whose all decor are a little bit inferior to those of Delux ,but has a jacuzzi in the bathroom (same as Delux) and whose terrace is more spacious and beautiful than Delux's.

The Hotel had also a gym and Sauna, carved in stones, wonderful and after that we took a shower with pepermint and mango essence.

Lunch was great, served on the upstairs terrace by the pool.

The rooms were clean and tidy if a bit dated.

Our junior suite was lovely although like much in Positano, a tiny bit retro in feel - but very clean and comfortable.
