The location was good and the security. Meeting the tour operator on the beach was the best thing. He showed us around, took us on days trips. Was fab. Also, we were able to check in early as there were only about 20 guests in the hotel.
The hotel linen was dirty/ had marks on. The hotel was well overpriced for the facilites as you had to pay for anything you wanted to do for example, rent dvd player, use squash courts. No facilites advertised when we booked were available such as watersports / horse riding etc. the information in the room about watersports nearby were a few years out of date. Getting anything done by the hotel staff was a nightmare. The air con and electricity kept cutting out. It's well overpriced and most def not a five star hotel. Also advertised as free internet in public areas but had to pay for this too. The hotel needs a good clean, mold around edge of pool, beach was stinking - don't clean it in the low season. Rooms need a major makeover and upgrade into this century.

We saw a monkey close to our room.
1. People hussling us on the beach. 2. The air conditioning was really loud and then it failed. 3. We just were not comfortable with you. It was not our kind of place. 4. Your food was average--we would have liked more vegetables. 5. We only recieved one bar of soap for 3 days. What's up with that.

The hotel had a warm welcome and friendly staff. The atmosphere was great and there was a lot of food variety. We loved the surprise arrangement for my birthday celebration. The hotel had a beautiful architecture and was located in the midst of nature, with a close proximity to the river. The hotel was also located on a secluded beach with activities for water sports. The cleanliness was excellent, and the staff provided a great service.
Nothing that we didn't like.

Seafood/poolside bar had friendly service and provided reasonable food. Hotel did manage to arrange transport to airport for us at short notice when our prebooked taxi did not materialise.
Hotel rather dated and in need of refurbishment. Decor was shabby in several respects especially our bathroom. Main dining room was rather institutionalised and food was average. Guards at hotel entrance and entrance to beach plus wire fencing and watchtower gave impression we were in a prisoner of war camp rather than a holiday resort. Organised volley ball in swimming pool meant that often we could not use the pool for swimming. Large proportion of hotel gusets during our stay were German which made us feel rather outnumbered. Too many prominent notices telling us what we were not allowed to do - made it feel like a school!!!

Hotel staff and service was great.
Facilities were not so good as expected, hotel/rooms a bit old standard. No activities for kids.

The hotel offers a luxurious Spa and wellness centre, with professional therapists and amazing treatments. The full body massage was delightful and the Spa lounge was peaceful and comfortable. The pool area is stunning, surrounded by lush gardens, sun loungers and a BBQ facilities found nearby. The beachfront is easily accessible, where beach umbrellas and chairs are reserved only for the guests. The head massage was very relaxing, and I felt rejuvenated after. The beauty treatment was handled gently, and the manicure was splendid.
The lack of entertainment available at the hotel. However, the hotel offers private facilities, such as the in-room breakfast or the bar/lounge area with packed lunches and special diet menus.

The Hotel classed as 5 star, was of very poor quality. I am from Australia, the average motel is of a higher standerd. I was extremly dissatisfied with the food and the general ambience of the place. Not recommended at all.
