Dusit Thani Bangkok - 曼谷

The location of the hotel is great, it is located in Downtown right near to Patpong Markets and cheap but lovely spas.

The public areas are fabulous, the hotel is very well located in a central location in Silom beside Lumpini Park and service are excellent.

Bangkok generation hang out, but Silom Road is equally as an exciting location and the Dusit is literally right next to the BTS (skyrail station).

If arriving at the international airport take the official AOT limo to the hotel, it will cost 500 baht more than a taxi, but 1,000 Baht less than the hotel limos on offer.

Going back to the airport just getthe bell boys to hail you taxi, it will cost around 400 baht.

The rooms are spacious - the bathroom alone is the size of many NYC studio apartments with both a seperate bath and shower!

Was upgraded to a suite, with huge bed with great bed linen.

We were very spoilt at the Dusit Thani and all had our own Dusit Grand Rooms, which had separate lounge, huge bedroom and the biggest bathroom I think I have ever seen in my life!

Upon check in, we were given a Royal Heritage Suite but had to move to a Dusit Club level twin room because we needed twin beds.

Each person gets their spa room suite with shower and bathroom so you don't have to use a communal locker room and the room was perfect and very relaxing.

Lumphini Park (great views from rooms and rooftop bar/restaurant) and is next to the Sala Daeng BTS station so is very convenient for getting around the newer part of the city.

The restaurants have a lovely decor, the Italian restaurant is very modern and stylish, the Thai restaurant more traditional and opulently elegant.

Breakfast at Il Cielo restaurant (served for people in club rooms) was excellent!

We had drinks in the bar in the french restaurant which is on the top floor and affords great views of the city.

Ate in two restaurants during our stay, the Benjarong Thai which was fabulous and Hamilton's steak house (equally fab,far too much food!

Staff at reception, and at the Dusit Club was extremely friendly and welcoming.

The service of the staff in the hotel was quite simply magnificent, every request was treated with a thoroughly professional attitude, from bellboys to desk staff, cleaners to bar staff, chauffeur's to swimming pool attendants.

The staff were friendly and helpful and both the food and service in the Italian restaurant was first class.

The service in the highest quality and all staff is always with smile!

If you want to walk about 5 blocks there is another gym(California Fitness) which is huge!

Having said that - the Dusit Thani's fitness centre is outstanding, and the pool is lovely - yes it's probably a little small for a big hotel, but it was never crowded, and I liked it because it was quite secluded by the plants and the hotel itself.

On the plus side: decent rooms (nothing exciting, but functional), a fantastic spa, a great selection of eating options (even if the italian restaurant was horribly overpriced), a good gym.

Rooms were great, spotlessly clean, powerful showers, all required amenities.

Really great hotel, very clean, with wonderful, rercently renovated room.
