  I liked the location and prices and perks enough to stay and spend my own money. In April I needed to get a ride to the concert, and they had a shuttle service (for a fee, $30 RT) who they worked directly with. If you have any alcohol, you also can avoid that as an issue by using the service. Anyway, the hotel rooms are always clean and quiet. Decent wifi in lobby and wired connection in the room. Check out is at 11am, which seems an hour early, but I was on the way out when housekeeping was knocking on my door at 11:00:01 am. I would stay here again; I have had a problem or two that sent me to the front desk and it was always resolved.

  The price was fair (and when we got there we actually found out that our room would be cheaper then expected) and the area seemed decent, with easy access to the I-85 highway and downtown Charlotte. They also gave us a room with easy access to the rear door so we could walk our dog in and out. The pool and hottub were open and in good shape and all together the property was kept in good condition. The decor was a little out of date and the exterior wall was brick, but it was clean and housekeeping was attentive. The parking lot is secure and gated and you must use your room key to enter and exit.

  A hot breakfast was available every morning, free fountain drink are available during the day along with freshly popped popcorn. Wireless internet is available and they even offer a free 24-hour helpdesk for internet issues which we used.

  I would prefer to stay somewhere else next time; we have been having pretty good luck with the Hilton Garden Inn also.

  The furniture looked like it was provided by a salvage company, mismatched and scratched and chipped. The beds were definitely not the DI usual, not soft and restful. The wallpaper in the room was peeling and wrickled. So much for the accomodations; the staff fit right in.

  The staff was super friendly and attentive to details. It's so refreshing to go to the lobby area from 5:30 - 7:00pm to enjoy the free drinks, snacks, and popcorn. Wireless internet and 1 hour long distance per night, both are all FREE! The room was nice and the beds are really comfortable. This hotel has a really nice and CLEAN indoor pool and hot tub.

  The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. The indoor/outdoor pool is relaxing.

  This area was very busy on Friday with people driving fiendishly fast around the (TGI) Friday’s parking lot which is adjacent to the Drury Inn. The Inn was very busy but we got a quiet room tucked away from the central hallway. Room was clean, with a firm bed (but mushy pillows, a pet peeve of mine), nice sitting area and work desk. Next day started with the complimentary breakfast: choice of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, French toast, juice, bagels, donuts, bananas, cocoa, & coffee. We chuckled a bit that they post in the elevator that the Drury Inn ranks higher than the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons - but by what criteria? Drury Inn IS a good value, but better hotel than then the Four Seasons or RC, come on?

  I booked the room for me and another couple for a event in Charlotte. Double room for me and a King room for them. Room was regualt 109 but they had a discount going which dropped it to 86. Took all of 5 mins and the front desk clerk Gina was wonderful! Very nice touch) And explained how the parking lot was secure and only people with a room keey can gain access. We went to our rooms and even though the double room was a little smaller than other places and the beds were kinda small the room was VERY clean! We settled in our room and checked out the pool. An indoor ourdoor was fun for the group) a large rack of towels were there for us to use and they kept checking on us to make sure we had everything. Also I noticed everytime I looked someone at the hotel was cleaning something either the carpets, windows, waste baskets, anything.

  More on that later) They gave us the info Free Hot Breakast, Free Internet in Room and gave us our 3 Free Alcohol beverage at the bar that night.

  From the general manager to the cleaning staff and everyone in between, this is the friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel anywhere! The afternoon manager's socials are a nice touch with free cocktails and snacks. Every room has a mini-fridge and microwave, and there are half a dozen restuarants within walking distance. If your mate doesn't share your viewing habits or usual bedtime, upgrade to a two-room suite (just $10 more) and get two TVs. The only negative I've ever had at this hotel is the thin walls in the suites, which only has been a problem a couple of times.
